Hey guys! You may have seen me lurking around these parts before, but as of yesterday at 6:31 pm, I am officially part of TS!
So thanks to my good friend CoS, I decided to start a journal here to log my progress. But really, I'm warning you, I'm not ACTUALLY that exciting. Sure, I inhale ghanja occasionally, and I love boys obsessively, but other than that I'm not extraordinary
I have to admit, I was reluctant to start a log at first because I can usually be found on the keto forums and I don't want them to think I'm a traitor. But then I said to myself I said like this I said, "Do it." So here I am.
OK, so I guess I'll just start with the basics: I was/am training for a bodybuilding comp. It depends whether I reach my goal of an ABSOLUTELY SHREDDED 115. I don't have a time limit (though less than ayear would be nice). I don't know whether I'm definitely going to do it or not, but I'm preparing like I'm going to do it. See, ever since I hit puberty, I've been a stick. Literally. I lost all my baby fat immediately. 5"7, 100-120 lbs over the last 6 years. Being scrawny was all I ever knew. Once I graduated high school, so many of the "wrong" people were telling me how desperately I needed to gain weight. I say wrong because none of these people were medical professionals. The MDs, dieticians, endos, gynos, they all said I was in perfect health and eating VERY adequately to fuel myself. I just looked too thin. So I embarked on a year long bulk. I put my heart, soul and body into it. I went up to 140-145 lbs between last September and this September. It was a dirty bulk though folks. D-I-R-T-Y. Like, "I-haven't-showered-or-brushed-my-teeth-in-a-week" dirty.
It registered on the scale before it registered in my head. But once it registered in my head, damn. It hurt. I didn't recognize myself in the mirror. Everyone was commenting. I hated it I know this is body image dysmorphia, I understand that. But you have to appreciate that I was happy with who I was before, and both myself and the medical professionals knew that I wasn't ill. Anyway, I hated who I was on the outside. I'm a personal trainer, spinning instructor and certified "nutritionist" (Can-Fit-Pro). I would like to look the part.
Now, I'm sitting at 145 or so, with about 15-17% bodyfat. Not bad, I know; but also not where I want to be. To tell you the truth, I want to start it again. Back at 110-115, and clean, C-L-E-A-N, slow, S-L-O-W, bulk. The TS way. So I'm using Cut Diet 2000 and subsequent levels (1800, 1500, etc.) so get down, and then will use LEAN MASS. Woo!!
Input is invited and appreciated. I see how all you guys support and care for each other, and I want to be part of that
HI!!!
xoxo

Welcome to the forum from the old guy! You will do great.
PS finally someone who might have to eat less than I do! lolYorkshireman I: Right! I had to get up in the morning, at ten o'clock at night, half an hour before I went to bed, eat a lump of cold poison, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill and pay mill-owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our dad would kill us and dance about on our graves, singing Hallelujah!

I have a read a part of each one of your journals and posts (as part of my research on the Cut Diet/Team Scivation), so I know how awesome each one of you is and what progress you've all made. I hope you'll all continue to follow me on my journey to "Most shredded girl" under 21 and not on the monkey juice
I am sooooooooooo excited!!! I'll be posting my first TS workout later todayContest Prep Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=146273283&p=911273403&posted=1#post911273403

second that!
As a true newbie to competing, I really need the tough love I get here. It's really helping me get through my occasional whining and negativity. My mindset is slowly coming around to where it needs to be, but it wouldn't be if not for this forum!Yorkshireman I: Right! Note to self (and all those interested). DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT have a week 1 conditioning leg day after teaching a spinning class. I know this would seem obvious to most people...but I'm not most people
Needless to say, I'm pretty sure I'll be unable to use my legs this weekend. I didn't know I would be called in to teach today (I've never taught a spinning class in my life because I just got certified at the end of August), so I had already done my 30 minutes of cardio a 5 am this morn keeping my heart rate around 141. Then spinning for 40 min. Then leg day. Yum.
SET/REPS/WEIGHT
Squat - 4/15/70
SLDL - 1/15/50, 1/13/70, 1/13/70, 1/12/80
Single leg press - 1/14/50, *SIP ON XTEND*, 1/15/50, 1/15/50, 1/13/60
Leg curl - 1/15/80, 1/13/80, 1/9/80, 1/12/70
Leg extension - 1/15/120, 1/15/120, 1/15/125, 1/15/135
Standing calf raise - 4/15/190
Seated calf raise - 4/15/75
WHOPEEE!! On my way to the land of the shredded....
Thanks for coming!!!Contest Prep Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=146273283&p=911273403&posted=1#post911273403

Well, sounds to me like you have already burned all the calories you will consume today, before 9am !

So I'm officially a spinning instructor two days a week at my university's gym. I'm getting paid handsomely (more $$ for Scivation products!) which is awesome!!!
Not realy looking forward to fasting tonight at 6 til tomorrow at 8. Missing out on all those good Cut Diet foods . Not to mention, tomorrow is supposed to be arm day - NOT COOL! I don't know whether I should just do the workout in the morning while I have the energy, or delay it to Sunday (which is supposed to be my day off). Man, this holiday is messing up my sched!
If it was last year, I wouldn't have fasted while on the Cut Diet, but this year, I lost my father in a house fire, and feel I owe it to him to carry on our tradition; even if it's something small like fasting for a day, I feel it's giving him the respect he deserves and living his legacy (he was really spiritual, but not so religious).
P.S. What is the Cut Diet policy on un-carbonated beverages like Diet Nestea, Diet Arizona Iced Tea and Diet Cream soda?? (all made with Splenda, not aspartame)
Mmm...*drool*...can't wait! I wish I could spread the good gospel of the Cut Diet to all the congregation of the world, lol
Lol, never thought about it like that. I've just always been really active; walking everywhere, biking if it's too far to walk, etc. Just SUUUUUPPER HYPER AND ACTIVE.Last edited by jaim91; 09-21-2007 at 01:46 PM.

Thanks namtrag and CoS. I don't think I'd be able to live without it. Water gets boring after a while. Derek didn't specify how much I have to drink per day, but I'm giong to shoot for 3-4 L of water, and then 1-2L of flavoured water/Diet Pop. With the low carb-ness, all the liquids I drink go right through me, and I feel dehydrated a lot. ESPECIALLY after a spinning class or cardio session...it's like, I can't get enough.
Man am I sore. Like, S-O-R-E, sore. But it's soooo worth it. I look forward to (eventually) looking like Marc....but a girl version From here on in (well, actually starting yesterday), everything I do, everywhere I go, every $ I spent is going to help further my goals to become a lean, mean Spinning/Training machine! And then, if I reach my goals, a comp in the spring...who knows?
Welcome! And thanks!!! Feel free to add input or anythingContest Prep Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=146273283&p=911273403&posted=1#post911273403
