Jaim91's "Time to add a little Estrogen to Team Scivation" journal :)
Hey guys! You may have seen me lurking around these parts before, but as of yesterday at 6:31 pm, I am officially part of TS!
So thanks to my good friend CoS, I decided to start a journal here to log my progress. But really, I'm warning you, I'm not ACTUALLY that exciting. Sure, I inhale ghanja occasionally, and I love boys obsessively, but other than that I'm not extraordinary
I have to admit, I was reluctant to start a log at first because I can usually be found on the keto forums and I don't want them to think I'm a traitor. But then I said to myself I said like this I said, "Do it." So here I am.
OK, so I guess I'll just start with the basics: I was/am training for a bodybuilding comp. It depends whether I reach my goal of an ABSOLUTELY SHREDDED 115. I don't have a time limit (though less than ayear would be nice). I don't know whether I'm definitely going to do it or not, but I'm preparing like I'm going to do it. See, ever since I hit puberty, I've been a stick. Literally. I lost all my baby fat immediately. 5"7, 100-120 lbs over the last 6 years. Being scrawny was all I ever knew. Once I graduated high school, so many of the "wrong" people were telling me how desperately I needed to gain weight. I say wrong because none of these people were medical professionals. The MDs, dieticians, endos, gynos, they all said I was in perfect health and eating VERY adequately to fuel myself. I just looked too thin. So I embarked on a year long bulk. I put my heart, soul and body into it. I went up to 140-145 lbs between last September and this September. It was a dirty bulk though folks. D-I-R-T-Y. Like, "I-haven't-showered-or-brushed-my-teeth-in-a-week" dirty.
It registered on the scale before it registered in my head. But once it registered in my head, damn. It hurt. I didn't recognize myself in the mirror. Everyone was commenting. I hated it I know this is body image dysmorphia, I understand that. But you have to appreciate that I was happy with who I was before, and both myself and the medical professionals knew that I wasn't ill. Anyway, I hated who I was on the outside. I'm a personal trainer, spinning instructor and certified "nutritionist" (Can-Fit-Pro). I would like to look the part.
Now, I'm sitting at 145 or so, with about 15-17% bodyfat. Not bad, I know; but also not where I want to be. To tell you the truth, I want to start it again. Back at 110-115, and clean, C-L-E-A-N, slow, S-L-O-W, bulk. The TS way. So I'm using Cut Diet 2000 and subsequent levels (1800, 1500, etc.) so get down, and then will use LEAN MASS. Woo!!
Input is invited and appreciated. I see how all you guys support and care for each other, and I want to be part of that
HI!!!
xoxo

I like the name Michelle, can I call you Michelle instead? Thanks, you are now officially Michelle to me.
Also, that list of foods to eat after your contest is crazy. You're gonna get so bloated with glory. But remember, try and keep it within a day... No need to over do it and lose the shape you worked so hard for.
Enjoy yourself none the less, which im sure you will. But if your middle name is Hardcore, we'll see how hardcore you are when you pick up that icecream, then say no thanks foo, and toss it in the dumpster.
Yayuh, fo real, I'll take you to mandarin though, and get you nice n fat.

So weak...so sad...:(
For the past two weeks, I have done absolutely nothing but bodyweight exercises and cardio...and it's definitely taken it's toll. Since the invoking of the new rule, I've decided to do REAL weight training and only get around 200-300 points for the Challenge. Today was my first day back at the iron.. Believe me, I was pouring sweat and struggling even though the numbers look light...
Incline Dumbell press: 3/15/25
Seated cable row: 3/15/45
Dumbell shoulder press: 2/15/25, 1/15/20
Dumbell curl: 3/15/15
One arm tricep cable pressdown: 1/15/20, 2/15/30
Cable shrug: 1/15/100, 2/15/130

Amen to that. If this is what contest prep looks like for everyone, well, let's just say it ain't gonna happen.
|
I don't know. I hope he takes away all their points, mwa ha ha!
When your times comes to prep, the adrenalin will hit you and you'll be just as dedicated; don't worry!

I guess I don't have a choice in the matter Michelle it is
Bloated for a couple weeks, then back to Cut Diet 1500 and slowly work my way up so that I can stay super conditioned year round (does this plan sound familiar to you?... )
I'm not THAT big on Chinese but I'll eat it. Regardless, we'll find somewhere for you to take me. Thanks for the encouragement!

I had a "WTF was I thinking!?!?!?" moment this morning:
I did my hiit this morning, and after the hour, I thought about how nice it's going to be to relax the rest of the day, then do upper body tomorrow, and not have to think about legs until Friday night. Then I reminisced about my PR's yesterday (leg day), and it just reinforced how awesome it's going to be to rest my wheels ( ) before I work them again.
Until....
I remembered that yesterday afternoon, I got a call from one of the Spinning instructors at school who's leaving for reading week 2 days early and needed someone to cover for her tomorrow. So I took the gig for the $$. I now have 2 Spinning classes, 12:10 - 12:50 and 3:00 - 3:40.
"WTF was I thinking?!?!?!"

Waste of money IMO. I think someone would OVER indulge when taking a product like this and only minimal food would ever be blocked.

if you're thinking what i'm thinking then you can still manage a rest day. set the bike resistance to zero and still give excellent instruction to the students. i've had teachers get on and off the bike throughout the class and walk around the room to correct form. thoughts?

It sounds to me like you can eat more because of the added cardio....so you cheat..isn't a cheat.

I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't, and die to find out there is.
I don't ask for much on my daily goals.....just one more rep than last time.
When you stand firm in your beliefs...the people who don't will pass in and out of your life...the ones who stand with you..those are your friends.
