It depends on the topic. In general, straight to the point is what I'd want if I had a specific question that didn't require many responses, but if it was a topic started because I'm still a relative novice to all of this and like the idea behind gaining new information - any kind of new information - then that is good too. Pretty much any kind of helpful response is desired, it doesn't have to fit a mold.

In this section, I've actually enjoyed some of the longer posts by the more experienced members - whether I agree with them or not. There have been some decent discussions.

Of course there is the usual junk and repeated questions/info.

I personally enjoy it the most when people who have different goals from the majority of members here (read:not BBers), have little real world experience, and no basic knowledge, try to advise people who have BBing goals, years of experience, and a much broader understanding of things.

Oh, and I also like parroting and the herd mentality.
