    What to do with my body?

    June 1st 2004 - 255 lbs, 33%
    Today - 188 - (my bodyfat was 22% in december) prolly 20-21 now.
    Goal: 170-175 10-12% by this summer.

    I got 6 months to get ripped, but I don't know how to do it. I have some loose skin on my chest and arms. I'm thinking about going down to 175 pounds, bulking for a month, cutting for a month, bulking and cutting for a month. I want to build muscle right now, but I would be too big.

    Is bulking/cutting for a month effective?

    I'm thinking about cutting until March. Bulking until I get up to low 180s, cutting down to 175, bulk up again and cut? Is this good?

    You lost almost 50 pounds of fat and about 20 pounds of muscle during these six months. While that may seem like an ok sacrifice for slimming down, at your bodyfat you should have been able to gain muscle while dropping fat, not lose it. Go to the diet board and read up on as many posts as you can. Search Google for carb cycling and give it a shot; ask for help on the Diet board if you need to (but not "can you make me a diet plz???"). Then go to the Workouts forum, read up as much as you can, and set yourself up a nice program that is focused around the big three lifts. HIIT for cardio twice or three times a week.

    Can I do HIIT 5 times a week?

    Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday?

    Monday - Chest, I want to get home as soon as possible so I don't lose any muscle.

    Sunday - Rest day.

    If you do it right, no, you can't. HIIT is way too strenous to do 5 times a week.

    You can try, but you will eventually lower the amount of times per week on your own.

    I tried doing HIIT few times a week and I hit a plateau. I didn't lose any weight.

    Anyways, my question is, is HIIT better for losing fat and not burning any muscle?

    My Cardio is only 30 mins anyways. HIIT is like 8,10 mins for beginners. I heard that you don't burn fat until after 15 mins into the Cardio (1-15 carbs. 15-30 fat 30-whenever, fat/muscle).

    I'll give it a try, I'm tired of Cardio anyways... I spent too much time on it, I used to do, 45-60 mins on Cardio. Once, I burned 1,000 calories on the Elliptical. That's how I lost all that muscle.

    I think when I got my BF checked at 210, it was 31%. I stopped losing weight so fast and at 190, it was 22.8%
