Yep, it was pretty thick. I got chicken hot dogs for later. The meat was 33oz's before I grilled it, probably like 26-28oz now. Was very good, left alot of fat on the plate, i'm pretty anal about picking thru it all.

Less mass is better in my opinion. Especially on a bulk. Yesterday I had to down 1.5 pounds of mashed peas, a half gallon of milk, and three large pancakes along with some other things that I forgot to hit my target carb intake. My intestines are still working on that. On a normal day you also don't notice that you eat less mass because you are far more satiated.
Worrying about getting kicked out of ketosis is kind of annoying, but to remedy that I just don't eat too many carbs. Or if I do, I make sure to do something afterwards. Not really that difficult, and the small challange is worth the large benefits.
|
- did you really have to eat mashed peas - was ice cream or cereal unavaliable?

hardest part might be not eating it all, i think i'd add honey intot he mix looks great though - does it not strip down your mixer a bit?

My mixer has held up fine... Heating the nuts helps. As does using the pulse feature rather than constantly blending.
For flavours - Honey works well. But you have to get the ratio just right otherwise it sticks, goes runny with the heat of the blender, or does't spread well.
I actually found a good 'cheat' way of creating the same flavour using honey roasted cashews and almonds as the base... It was, however, a little too good and disappeared a bit too quickly to be an ecomonically viable option... Using lightly salted nuts worked too (adds a 'sweet and salty' feel to it... ).
Another combination that was pretty good was walnut and almond.
