Barbell Military Press vs Barbell Behind the Neck Press

Hi. I don't know whether the names are written correctly because I am from Spain and the bodybuilding forums over here are ****.
Well, I was wondering which one of these two exercises is the best to work out your deltoids. Which one is the best if your goal is to gain mass on your deltoids? Which one is the best to gain definition on your deltoids?
I hope you guys can help me out with this. Thanks!!!

    Depends on the person, honestly.

I feel BNPs are more focused on the front delts only, and hit "higher" on the front delt.

But some people get a lot of side delt from BNPs.

Standing barbell military press is the king of shoulder workouts. I do not and I suggest to my friends to NOT do behind the neck military presses. IMO no need to do an unnatural motion like that.

I believe military press is better and BNp is too unnatural. BNp puts too much stress on the shoulder joints and I wouldn't recommend doing them heavy.

Some people say that BNP is much better because it isolates the shoulders in such a way that you barely need other muscles to do this exercise. But on the other hand I have heard comments that it is extremely easy to get injured doing this exercise.
    What do you guys think?

For putting meat on the side delts behind the neck presses >> presses in front.

Though if you find it hard to stabilize the bar it may be better to do it in the smith machine.

The answer depends on your particular shoulder construction. All you can do is try it...Learn By Doing.

And don't forget that laterals, and front and rear raises are just as valid shoulder exercises, indeed, equal in importance to just the pushing of a barbell overhead for shoulder growth.

I read somewhere in a fitnes magazine that behind the back barbell is unnatural and should be avoided, essentially it said that it was bad form....Im not sure how i feel about it.
