He almost died immediately after the lift.

Eddie Hall is the best at what he does. That is a deadlift with straps and a multiply deadlift suit. But I would argue that this lift makes him a best deadlifter. For example, he was not able to deadlift 400kg without the straps at a powerlifting meet.
Again, don't kick me for saying this....but I find Magnusson's 460kg deadlift, or a recent deadlift by Belkin (418kg at a mere 220lb body weight) more impressive.Powerlifting/Bodybuilding.
Stats:
Bdw: ~90kg
Squat: 250kg (raw, no wraps)
Bench: 200kg (raw)
Deadlift: 270kg (raw)

There has never been a more impressive deadlift than Eddie Hall pulling 500kg. This man has pushed the deadlift to the ABSOLUTE (not relative) limit of the human body. The combination of training, diet, genetics, drugs, equipment, luck and pure desire to deadlift the most ever has never been seen before. Benni failed miserably at the same weight under the same conditions, regardless of what Benni could pull without straps vs Hall. Belkin pulling 418 is impressive but not in the same league.

Belkin not in the same league? I hope u kidding....apples vs oranges comparison aside, Hall did participate in a proper powerlifting meet...and we know what happened. that is he couldn't deadlift 400kg. whereas Belkin, who is like a hundred pounds lighter than Hall, did 418kg. So, please respect both lifters and don't post nonsense.
and what is that mysterious "absolute limit of the human body"? there is no such a thing. not sure how old are you, but i've seen time and again when these kind of records, that at the time were entitled as "eternal", were not only broken, but even became something our of an extraordinary.
Again, Hall is great (not just great, the best) at what he does i.e. a strongman style of deadlift (where you are allowed to go up and down, dragging the bar over your legs) with straps while wearing a multiply suit. that's it.Last edited by NoDoubts; 07-16-2016 at 07:35 PM.

First of all, I'm 28 and have been following this stuff since I was a teenager. Second, English must not be your first language. Third, please list these situations where these "eternal" records have become so common in your 39 years on earth. Fourth, I never put any claims on Hall's deadlifting ability other than he is the best and most impressive. Give Belkin a suit and straps and see how he does. It won't be anywhere close to 500kg. Belkin can bulk as much as he wants and use as much equipment as he wants, and he still won't top Eddie. Eddie isn't concerned with being the best deadlifter at 220, he's concerned with being the strongest mofo who's ever lived. Fifth, I never once disrespected Belkin, refer to point #2.
Good day, sir.

Late bump but what on earth are you talking about? Eddie has pulled 450kg completely raw in training, not even a belt, vid below
