    WTF Is this all about?

Maybe I'm crazy, but this seems like the stupidest theory. I'm sorry, if someone is lifting for 6-7 reps, SOMETHING is happening. Journal of Broscience has to be telling me something. But there is a ******** group post where they are all getting on the bandwagon that a set that finishes at 7 reps is doing nothing.

It's nonsense. Anybody can write anything but it doesn't mean it's true.

Ah but got to admire the graph drawing skills... hehe. Seriously, it's not so much that the reps aren't doing anything at all, just that 6 and 7 reps is a bit of an in between for the rep ranges that people tend to focus on. Often see it listed as 3-5 reps for strength, 8-12 for hypertrophy and 15+ cardio(often joking to call it that)/endurance. Some vary and probably the variables will affect results, such as deficit versus maintenance versus bulking and such. But at least from my observation it's not so much a not doing anything at all but just kind of an in between of two types of focuses with lifting.

Didn't check out the group but most probably don't lift or are newbs to lifting. Gains come no matter what weight or rep scheme you use if you're fatiguing the muscles. Doesn't take a PhD to figure that one out.

The group is the IIFYM group on ********, but about 75% of it feels like the Misc. section. I just couldn't believe someone posted it and so many people jumped on it like it was gospel! I had to share the idiocy.

lol at that graph. And if you're talking about IIFYM main, then that group is 100% full of idiots. I used to be in that group but had to leave because I lost all faith in humanity.
