How was that old guy able to just give Phil Heath another 100k dollars?
Again how does the IFBB make money? Ticket sales is an obvious one. Membership fees I'm guessing is another. Expo booth fees are collected by the IFBB too? Does the IFBB get money when one of their athletes is in a magazine?

Am I the only one that heard this?
Cich said "for the first place and $400,000"
Then winner is announced and Phil gets the cheque and the old fuq comes out and stumbles around saying "I see this cheque says $300,000, well I'm gonna change it to $400,000" followed by this awkward moment where he expects people to cheer
In other words cich screwed up and already announced the new change
It was even worse than the "do you wanna see the 212 on the main stage?..."Tobacco prostitute

When? Then what was the point of walking out and scribbling it on the cheque?
http://www.flexonline.com/videos/general-news/live-feed
04:19:00 he says take the sandow and $400,000
Then when phill gets the award and he comes out and changes it, it seemed like it was supposed to be an on the spot surprise, or did they just screw up the cheque? Either way it was weak the rest is at 04:20:30
It's so cringeworthyLast edited by blindsideflank; 09-22-2015 at 08:37 AM.

And it costs a sh*tload, like $400 a year just to keep your pro card.
There's cases of contest winners straight-up rejecting their pro cards because it's a waste of money - they're nowhere ready to compete as a pro. They foist them on everyone they can to keep the registration fees rolling in.We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.

At least Joe Weider cared about bodybuilding, and wanted it represented in the best light possible. When you factor in physique, the IFBB has literally given out hundreds of pro cards in the past few years, probably in large part to athletes who are way over their heads and would get smoked if they competed at a serious pro show.
Jason Genova should hang in there, they'll literally find a way to give even him a pro card sooner or later. We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.

400K is a lot of money, but according to google the supplement industry brings in 37 BILLION a year in revenue, that is a **** load of money.
I also thought how Mr. O got the extra 100K but no other class got anything was silly too. No other class is obviously as popular as the Mr. O but take the 212 class for example. They do the exact same thing as the big boys, but they are short and first place is 10x less than Phil's payday at 40K. If you add all the prize money for the top 6 in the 212 class you get 75K and 3rd place in the open class is 100K
1. 400k
2. 150k
3. 100k
4. 55k
5. 45k
6. 35k
vs
212
1. 40K
2. 17K
3. 8K
4. 5K
5. 3K
6. 2KWorkout Log
