Levrone is another example...who would have thought this kid would end up with the most epic delts/tris and signature the hands clasped MM pose...

i hate it when people use this pic as an example, Levrone was probably barely 12-14 years old in that pic and already probably twice the size of a normal 12-14 year old at that point. Also its obvious he has some nicely shaped delts and pecs growing there while barely able to ride a bike. Then we are not even talking about him already being at his standard 10-12% bf at a preteen age. all this while doing the most awkward pose that hides most muscle.

my point is, first look at the pic and it may look like a normal boy. But take a closer look at his delts and pecs, take age and pose in account and its pretty obvious he has some amazing genetics to get very far in the bodybuilding world.

Looking as freaky as ever, I just hope he keeps that back leg contracted when hitting front poses so it doesn't look soft and washed out at the O. His traps/rear delts are looking juicier than last year too

In the OP vid, kai's left delt looks twice as big as his right at 1:19.

he looks GOOD year round, unlike any other pro who's physique only reaches a certain appeal when they're contest ready

He kept those proportions throughout his career is my point. Dorian was not known for his arms, but for his back. So that said, my point of seeing the potential in the guys early on I feel is pretty valid.

actually he had awesome triceps and his arms were generally pretty good before the injury

your point seems to be invalid since there are TONS of guys who look decent as they start training but very very very few of them turn out to have any success as competitive bodybuilders and it's impossible to say who will or won't win anything at that point of their carreers.

Kai looks so damn good. Maybe it's just the lighting/video but his muscle has that grainy/dry look that he rarely seems to get. In alot of his contests he gets lean but his muscle always seems to be a little soft/watery looking (especially his back/traps) but it looks really good right there.

I agree with both of you in what you said about the comparison shots not being equal, but looking at the picture, Juan looks skinny fat with no arms to speak of. Not something I would call great bodybuilding genetics, but I guess the takeaway point is that you can never tell what someone would look like if they went on heavy gear while training.

Keep in mind how big one can get naturally... idk why you expect him to have 20+ inch arms naturally AND not being a bber

Of course I was using hyperbole. I meant it in comparison with his chest, which to this day, still overpowers his underwhelming arms.

I expect him to be in proportion and show the SHAPE of a champion. That was my point the whole time. Champions look better, even at lower body weights.

Here we go again. I hope Kai can earn it this year and be rightfully given the Olympia if he is the best man on stage. He does look phenomenal, but he is one of those guys who seems to have an incredible amount of trouble in the last few weeks and hitting his peak. I hope he finally nails it (though I think he has earned it before this year as well).

His conditioning was way off, especially when the pics of him in the lineup next to the other guys were posted. That's when you could tell how far off he was.

Kia looks great here very FULL and thick but definitely not the Dry and Grainy look you need needed to Take down Phil.....More Credit to Ronnie as he was able to bring this same Fullness and Roundness all while keeping that Dry Gainy look

Kai always almost seems to peak late, like a week after the O, hope he finally gets it right this year.
