I havent been following competitive powerlifting recently, but has anyone come close to benedikt magnusson's raw DL record?
who are the top raw pullers right now and what numbers are they hitting in competition?

I don't really follow too many heavyweight powerlifters, but I'm pretty sure George leeman is getting close to the 1k mark. He rarely maxes out but he pulled 906 raw around a year ago and he's much stronger since then. he's only 23 so he has many more years ahead of him and if someone can break the record I think it's him as long as he doesn't get injured in the future.

he's done I think two deadlift only comps, both in 2012.
pulled 837 at the olympia in September 2012
Pulled 804 in November 2012 and dropped two other attempts.
Dunno if he's competed since then, but my google fu hasn't spotted any other meet results.

to answer the OP:
no no one else has come close to 1015 in powerlifting. there's been quite a few strongmen pulling heavy as hell though. Eddie Hall comes to mind as getting up there.
There's been some lower 900s pulls in powerlifting, but no one even close to 1000 that I can think of (and it would have been heavily publicized)*Mods/CS will not, nor can they change your username, so don't ask*

Coan's were on a stiff bar, in a full meet, with a 2 hr weigh in. (I'm not trying to say his are "more legit", just stating the difference in conditions). Didn't he squat high-9s before he pulled 901 @ 220?
Eddie Hall posted his beltless, raw ~1000 lbs DL a few weeks back. I don't know what he can pull without straps but I can see him DLing more than Beni very soon strongman-style.

That's interesting. Would not have thought they would allow those things. I don't know really anything about strongman aside from having watched some events and stuff- I just got the impression that they were all about raw strength, so I would think something like straps/suit would be looked down upon.

Meh. Andy's 1003 and 1008 were equipped, while Magnusson's 1015 was raw.
Bolton's 1,008 was deadlift only. His 1003 was done after a token 551 lb squat. That's not really a full meet IMO. Might as well have been deadlift-only. Making a big deal of a lift being done in a full meet when using token lifts is pointless to me. The thing is, most lifters don't know that Bolton did a token lift, because it is often cited as being a "full meet" lift without really any qualification. (I'm assuming you probably didn't know he did token lifts.)
Coan's records are obviously different, as he was going all out on squats and bench.Last edited by breathinglife; 03-04-2015 at 02:06 PM.

If we are talking strongman competitors with straps, another worth mentioning...
Shaw did 985 in that same manner.637/390tng/615 - belt/wraps, best gym lifts.
600/370/600 - best competition lifts.
575/330/560 - best competition lifts at 181 raw.
