I was very upset with how Kai Greene acted during the press conference, interrupting Phil Heath during
the champ's memory/dedication of his father was in such poor taste that it truly angered me. He continued
hurling cheap shots, shouting, and making an a$s of himself.
During the prejudging he threw his air against Phil's body, then got in Phil's face in a very menacing manner because he didn't have enough room to pose. The Head Judge had to scream at Olympians to break it up, the expediter had to physically intervene.
During the night show, Kai posed with 8 of the top 10, ignoring Phil.
After the O, he gave an interview with Dennis James for Flex where he acted as if nothing happened,
spouted off that canned bs spiritual bs, and tried to act like he was the bigger man.
I'm sick of his antics. The IFBB should at the very least fine him. If they fined Lee Priest for running his mouth,
they should fine Kai for quite possibly ruining the 50th Mr. Olympia.
Enough!
p.s.
We're all so lucky Kai pulled this with Phil - a consummate professional and true champion. I know had Kai got in
Mighty Mike Quinn's face, Mike Christian's, Zach Khan, Johnny Jackson, BSA (Big Sean Allan), he would have gotten it right back and/or got his ass kicked.

Good video. I watched it from beginning to end. I'm a Kai Greene fan and I agree he acted wrong at the press conference, but endurancell also makes a very good point - Phil wasn't let Kai pose. Kai shouldn't have gotten in his face. I have to say, as a Kai fan I wasn't happy with how he acted. Tough call.

It really wasn't. You can tell from the prejudging, Phil was caught way off-guard and was noticeably very uncomfortable. Head Judges have NEVER screamed at Olympians in 50yrs of Mr. Olympia events - ESPECIALLY NOT on a Mr. O that's going to be AIRED ON NBC!! And do you think NBC is going to let AMI/Weider edit out that scene?
When the mainstream public sees it, they're going to cry "Roid Rage" and our sport look stupid - ONCE AGAIN - in their eyes.
p.s.
There's NO WAY Phil would have lent the memory of dead father for some made-for Olympia hype. Phil dedicated last year's win to his wife, who beat breast cancer and this one to his dad. Kai was a REAL JERK, heckling the champ. Phil was about to shed a tear, lost his DAD, and was reminiscing and this POS was acting like a little brat.
Wrong is wrong, hope the Kai fanboys can at least recognize that.

Well, 50yrs of Olympia history & tradition certainly should not have been the place for it. This is Joe Weider's namesake and it's the most coveted contest in our sport. Your comment is well-taken and could be very much on the money. And my point is - KAI (or anyone else for that matter) shouldn't be permitted to sully the name and reputation of this event - or our sport - to pursue their own, personal agendas.
Excellent writing skills.
Pro athletes in the NFL, NHL, MLB, & NBA get fined all the time. If you break the rules, you have to be punished. If I'm habitually late or miss work - I get canned. Why is KAI above being punished? Why does PHIL & why do we (the fans) - just have to take it? I hate making excuses for people. Kai royally f*cked up; Kai should be punished.Last edited by SamMyMan01; 09-22-2014 at 09:30 AM.

Since trash talk is completely allowed in every sport. What in the (*@# are you talking about? Phil has been the one to first cross the line and gain a competitive advantage in pictures every year at the Olympia. So do you think Phil should be fined for breaking an actual rule or Kai should be fined for breaking an imaginary one that you're biased and butthurt about? Please don't actually answer or my brain will hurt even more. How are you this dumb?

I think if Phil had been anyone else, Kai would've been dropped like a sack of potatoes. Had Kai done that to Branch Warren or Johnny Jackson, they'd kicked his ass. And that's just want we want on an Olympia stage, right? Fists flying.
Kai needs to get slapped with a fine. I hate the fact this guy is callin for it, b/c I think Kai has a FAR SUPERIOR physique than Phil's, but KAI acted like a jerk.

Try to follow along my Canadian friend. Trash talk is one thing, but throwing your giant hair braid on another person's body is crossing the line. Rushing them, your face inches from theirs, talkin all sorts of smack, and making that person think you're going to attack them - is CROSSING THE LINE. Maybe in your life you don't have issues standing there and lookin like a b*tch, maybe that's perfectly acceptable where you come from, but PHIL shouldn't have to take that abuse. He did - only because he's Mr. Olympia and a true Pro - but that doesn't make it ok. You following along?
It's been my life's exp that the guys that do what Kai did, really can't fight worth a crap. Kai knew PHIL would never hit him, so he tried to act hard by doing that. Kai's antics have done a tremendous disservice to our sport, especially for the 50th - and especially when NBC/mainstream tv showed interest again.
Did you get all that? Do you still not understand?
You can't be that stupid, can you?Last edited by SamMyMan01; 09-22-2014 at 09:57 AM.
