How anyone can think that Phil stepping over the line isn't cheating, especially in 2012 when Kai came in conditioned, is beyond me. Of course it gave him a slight advantage on a night where it could have swung either way.

That said, he should have followed Phil forward. I know he was maybe trying to make a point, but at what cost.

In an ideal world, Phil would be penalized for stepping over the line so many times.




But back to the business at hand....all this is in the past and all that matters now, is who will come out on top this year. It is getting closer and closer and I like it.

Did you miss that part of the show? That's the sickest part of all far and away he DID follow Phil over the line... Here's how the show went.. Phil steps over the line over and over again. Kai finally steps forward during the comparisions to stand next to Phil properly. Person officiating tells them "ok guys get back in line". Whole show freezes while they back up. They hit one more pose and then within the process of making 4 quarter turns Phil ends up back a whole pair of feet width in front again by tiny tiny steps forward with each quarter turn.. No one says anything yet again, so I think Kai got the hint.. Phil does we wants on that stage and it'll only be "against the rules" if other people try to do the same.

This 100%. While I don't see DJ as being a bad person, you need to take control of your sponsorship and everything else. But it seems like DJ is doing everything for Ramy now, housing him, feeding him, training him and being his manager and publicist.

As long as Ramy feels he is getting a fair shake (no pun intended) it is all good.

No I saw that. My point was that EVERY time Phil stepped over the line, Kai should have followed him. That is no time to make a moral stand. They cannot disqualify both of them.

I guess Kai didn't want to rock the boat. They were going to make him look like the bad guy, the already did the first time he stepped forward. If he kept it going he wasnt' doing himself any favors, I think he knew that. He was screwed and it was a bit corrupt, I guess it comes down to how much of a stand he was willing to make. If he "plays the game" and could come in looking as good as Phil like in that show maybe he felt he had a shot at future shows? If he really made em mad by pointing out the BS, they probably would have blacklisted him and started giving him completely BS placings. Who knows, lots of pressure on stage like that. The judges seem to "like" Kai overall. He beat Phil at the AC when Phil def looks better, at least for prejudging. He even beat Wolf at the O last year when Wolf was probably the superior the two if you look at how off Kai was during prejudging. So far it hasnt' helped him vs Phil at the O though.

Man LOVED that delt workout by Phil...especially the whole laughing as he is finishing up a set on front raises with 80's.

I hope we see him with an improved package this year, though I am not holding my breath. Yet I feel there is a bigger chance of it with him trying to promote his own company...more motivation, thus better results...we will see.

Possibly, though I doubt he would have been able to get that detailed with his thinking in that moment, with the pressure, low carbs and exhaustion. Either way, it was not fair and we should leave it at that.
