50,000 Deadlifts By 2014

I've seen pull up threads and squat threads like this, so I decided I'd make one with deadlifts.
It's an exercise neglected by some people, even though it's excellent for increasing overall strength. Hopefully, this will create a tiny bit of incentive for at least SOME people; that's what I'm hoping with this. It's simple, as a community, we all try to reach 50,000 deadlifts before the end of the year (all of us combined, obviously we're not each going to do 50,000). Any type counts (sumo, conventional, romanian, stiff-legged, etc). You simply add up the amount of deadlifts you did that day or week to the current number. I'll start.
0 + 21 = 21.

The RDL isn't really a DEADlift. It shouldn't count. Conventional, sumo, sldl, snatch grip DL and deficit DL are alright.

The Romanian 'Dead'Lift doesn't count as a deadlift? I get what you're saying about no pull from the floor, but why not exclude SLDL on that basis?

In any case, you guys must be adding in a lot of warm up sets, I hit up 3 sets of conventionals last night.

You should just start a battle like Tony Gentilcore did. He set one up for most total weight over 1 week (http://www.weighttraining.com/battles/437) but we could do one for most total reps or whatever...

Out of curiosity, for you guys who do deadlifts after squats, do you still warmup for the dealifts?

I never really find it necessary to warm up for deadlifts when done after squats, though I definitely warm up for the squats.

If I do deadlifts first, I definitely feel the need to warm up for them.

After squats I like to do a few light deadlift sets just to get into the groove of the movement. On deadlift only days I do a few light sets of squats just before deadlifting.
