heh funny i've completely forgotten the name of the song, and been looking for it the past week after i've heard it in a bar
honestly in the context of EDM i would give this 8.5/10, i wish more mainstream EDM would do stuff like this. honestly the main riff/hook/theme or whatever you wanna call of this is joocy as fuk, its not anything groundbreaking but at least the guy put in the effort to find the right set of notes and sound that makes it as powerful as possible, which a lot of EDM/pop just skips and settles for mediocrity. that's how mainstream EDM should be done, that line is really generic even the sound is nothing new, but it just hits the perfect combo to make it sound that good. you could scrap the entire song aside from the main line and it would still be replayable for 3 minutes. that's how good pop is done. GJDM
in the context outside of EDM i'd give it a 7.5/10 since its still despite being a very very very good pop/EDM song doesn't really do anything inventive per se.

city and color - too cliche piano/whiny voice combo for me 6/10 and kind of fails to establish a theme with the piano too rambly
cryptex - some interesting sounds in order to escape the usual electro or skrillex cliches, that said musically in terms of composition it does nothing for me, i'd give him props for the sound more than anything 6/10
jewish flow - this is glorious, im digging the fkin white boi rap (no racist) and the background music is pretty good as well, entertaining, kind of song that would put me into rap mindset even tho i dont like rap 7/10
pendulum - 6.85/10 now that i think of it you should read descriptions more than focus on numbers, because i keep forgetting what i rated what. anyways pendulum do their thing and it tends to work more often than not regardless of what it is, i'd say this is entertaining but not exactly something that would make you stop doing whatever you were doing
nobody said it was easy - surprisingly did not ruin the original at all, am not really into hardstyle but i wouldn't mind it all drunk. i like how they kept the melody even during the full on raging parts 6.85/10
chris knight - well im never going to say no to a man with a guitar and dem groovy drums. decent but not great i think 6.85-7, kind of falls to the same trap as most of the other decent but not great songs, does really everything good but not really great that would make me stop and focus. neil young's down by the river would though
beat your heart out - not my cup of tea even genre wise. but even then it still kind of sounds generic as fuk in that context 6
jedi mind tricks - trying too hard to be edgy, music isn't that bad tho joocy bassline could work done differently 6.35
frank ocean - i just dont know, everything sounds right but nothing sounds exceptional. seems like a well done product, hard to shake the feeling of it being a product though, i like some things but some things just have the "sell me" sign slapped on top. 6.85
hoodie allen - entertaining, i like the chord progression, would probably stop to listen if they were playing on the street. 7/10
bad kingdom - now this is some good shyte enough of a curveball to make it interesting, love the droning female (i assume?) vocal in the background, love how it evolves, love the main vocal. chit just works, got dat flow, sounds natural, keeps moving. 7.25/10

I am totally a Black Keys fanboy. 7.8/10 am never going to go against those groovy drums, the distorted guitar, that voice and the blues. ya know plenty of bands around who do that sort of thing, but the black keys are one of the few ones who keep the blues in it properly
Rammstein is Laibach for kids But seriously 7.25/10, I dig Rammstein. They're more of a sound now than anything, instantly recognizable. Plus German always sounds dirty as fuk.
intro too cliche, other than that i mean a cliche EDM/trancey song, well done but generic. 6.5
i hate this song with a passion, seriously. i had to endure every ****ing guido blasting this out of his car a couple of years ago, made me want to kill myself.
0:40-0:55, 2:05-2:15 = no quarter 0:45-0:58 ya hear it lol? but seriously 7/10 i'd probably like it better after several relistens, i think it rambles around a bit too much, tries to do too much
