I love wearing a great suit but it's also a case of "I never wear it."
It's a rare occurrence that I get to wear my suit out, so when I do I quite enjoy it.
Though I do hate wearing ties, of any sort. I don't wear one unless it's a very formal event (funeral, wedding etc.)

I think Arnold(except his last O) and Haney's wins are the only two which were least questioned... Nor any controversy revolved around them. They had the most dominant streaks , by winning clearly according to the rules. [Some of the wins of Dorian, Ronnie, Jay, Heath are questionable in opinion of many fans].
As per 'robbing', the closest that anybody came to Haney was Dorian Yates. DY won in the Muscularity Round but lost in Symmetry, and Posing round (which was a mandatory then, but is not judged now]. Had the battle taken place as per the present rules, DY would have won I think. But no one was 'robbed' during Haney's reign.Honours in Physics

What about guys like Bertil Fox, Rich Gaspari, Albert Beckles, Lee Labrada, Berry DeMey? I know this doesn't matter, but those guys in my opinion all had better physiques than Haney (I'll probably catch a lot of heat for this too). Some would even argue that Makkawy beat Haney in '84, but that's a different story because their friendly rivalry was primarily in 1983 at all of the Grand Prix.

But I also have this theory that the IFBB doesn't like to hand out Mr O titles to many different people. There are currently 14 Mr Olympia titleholders. I'm under the assumption that their understanding is they can't have too many different people holding the most prestigious title in bodybuilding because that would ultimately lessen the value of it.
For example, let's say you take 3 out of the 8 Mr O's Haney won and 3 of the 8 Ronnie won and distributed it among six different people that could have potentially been titleholders (that's where the entire argument of being "robbed" comes in) you could have 20 different Mr O's.
If you look at the Arnold Classic for instance, there are about 14 different titleholder and this competition started in 1989. And there were many reoccurring athletes participating including previous titleholders. But with the Olympia, their thought process probably revolves around the idea that they need to keep the champions to a minimum because how many "world's best bodybuilder" could you actually have?I am a man of my word

If you see the comparison pics.. Especially vs Rich, Labrada n Berry... Haney completely dominated them in overall size... Especially in chest n Back(especially lthose lats) dept..easily Destroying them in BDB, RLS, FLS With flow ,size n symmetry.
He was just too big for them imo.
Yeah about Mohamed Makkawy, he was really thick and had every quality but just like against many other competitors of his time, , Height n frame were big factors.
Haney's frame, plus maturity made him invincible IMO.
And regarding thw 2nd post... I think only an industry insider can answer this question. What you are saying has been brought up by many. But yeah, it looks like they like the champ to keep the sandow for a good time , and provide quite a stable , long term face n gimmick to capitalise on. [Going by the "face of bodybuilding"theory]Last edited by AdamantiumYoke; 12-03-2014 at 11:32 AM.

more tendon news cause I know you guys love it
after getting the ultra sound I finally went back to my good sports med doctor today for official results. much worse than expected...
complete deattachment, full thickness tear of the semitendinosus from its distal tibial attachment, 5.5 cm of proximal torn tendon retraction.
i am now going to get an MRI so they can see exactly what's going on, and then be seen by a professional sports team sports med orthopedic surgeon as I may need surgery now. my doctor said there's a chance my leg will never be the same again
and 'waiting' and 'not doing anything' did not help at all; if anything it made it worse. Had the tear been detected when I got my first MRI 8 months ago, then I'd have been able to get treatment for it before it got filled with scar tissue or other crap :/ so b/c I couldn't afford good service when I got injured this may end up with me having 1 atrophied leg for the rest of my BB career , which in that case I'd rather not even compete anymore
so basically whenever I work out hamstrings, only one of the hamstring muscles are being contracted, which is why there's so much more weakness there and me not getting betterLast edited by SammyJr; 12-05-2014 at 12:22 PM.
