More pics are here and I have a ton on ******** I took with my new camera!!!
Yes sir all raw meat. I will explain but the best thing I can ask you, What did dogs eat 500 years ago, puppy chow? Honestly dogs are carnivores instinctively, and they have an enzyme that can digest raw meat. Most people do not understand because humans are not really able to do it. Well some do, but I would not recommend it haha. He loves red meat, tilapia, and ostrich. I had around 5lbs of ostrich I ordered during my prep, but I did not like it so I froze it to save for a desperate day.

I have been so busy with the pup I did not make time to stretch and foam roll the night before my squat session like I enjoy getting done. I stretched some before the session today, I could tell it helped out some. Strength felt good, form felt off slightly with knees coming out. Probably from not being as loose as I have been.
BB Squat

BB Military Press

225x5,5,5
Military press was pretty heavy, but I pushed through. This is the first shoulder/pressing movement for upper body in exactly 3 weeks since my right should popped something weird on me during incline. I have been babying since and not doing much besides squatting. This is a tied PR so off to a good start, it was just a lot harder!!!
DB Lateral Raises

Don't remind me bro, already sad about that. I am actually glad I can feed him like a bodybuilder with lower carbs and just make it raw. Actually it't not much more expensive. We have a small butcher shot in the local grocery who is going to give me the weekly scraps in a huge box of whatever is left in the grinders or about to expire packaged foods. So I got it Thursday after I got the pup and got about 3lbs of ground beef, steak, meaty bones, and some chicken breast.
I know man, I have bee nwanting this breed since I was 12. He is so lazy though, not big on catch haha.Team Norton

Second week complete!!!! It was more mentally rough, but equally as easy as week 1 as far as strength goes. I dread week 3 honestly, cannot wait to see the results of the hard work on week 4 deload week/Max attempt.
The last set I hit a SOLID 2 rep pause per rep just to finish off with a killer set
135x10
225x10
315x5
405x2
465x3,3,3,3,3,3,3,3,3,3
I did not do very much else for legs, but I did about 20 sets for biceps & triceps. I had an amazing pump with this workout, arms were hard as nails at 18 inches. Biggiest they have ever been by 1/2 inch.Team Norton

The week is almost complete, and so far no real issues yet. I can feel my goals will be hit pretty smooth come next week after 4-5 days of constant stretching and foam rolling during each revovery day!!!Team Norton

Tonight was my last night of smolov squat base cycle. 2.5 years I go attempted smolov and through some bad luck I injured my right hip flexor keeping me from squatting for 1.5 years straight. I firstly injured it on week 3 and the last session so I was a little cautious tonight. My knee started hurting on my first set even though I wrapped it as normal to keep it compressed. I decided to do one more, felt okay with the pain, but I felt like I was just going to be smart because I was just focusing way too hard on the pain. I also just realized 2 years ago if I would have skipped the last session I would have still hit a PR and not been injured. I am gonna take what I get out of what I did and just heal up now. Every night I plan to stretch, foam roll, and no squats until Thursday evening 5 days from now. I decided to just do a bunch of accessories, some bench, auxillary leg movements, etc..
Thank you guys, life is pretty well right now...Now it is time for more PR's and then life will be excellentTeam Norton

You trying to catch up Saturday for some lunch or dinner? Since the expo is so friggen crazy i figure that would be a good time to meet up, maybe me you Kyle HUnt and your girl? there is a legit ice cream place around the block from the expo that is premium ice cream and lets you sample all of their flavors (30 of them) and then you can decide on whatever.
You remember what happened last time we got ice cream after your show LOL it did not last long.

YEa buddy. I almost forgot to even talk about the Arnold during my last log journal. I am pretty excited. I wanted to spend all week and go to the bodybuilding show this year but since I got my puppy it really made me want to spend more time with him, but I know I will kick myself missing the Arnold all weekend when I come make a short 4 hr drive and come up for 2 days easily for some easy fun. I think it is suppose to snow all around the area, that is one thing I dread, it is always COLD in COlumbus. I wish for once it would be nice out.Team Norton

Thanks fellahz. Yes Jimmy I finished prep in October. I was still able to squat 550 over halfway through prep, and still probably close to 500 on a peaked day if I tried before the meet. I was still able to deadlift 550-575 a week before my bbing show. Normally I can keep most of my strength for the most part all prep with proper training and recovery strategies.
My next goal is 650-675. I would like to hit 700 by 2014, but lets see if I can keep motivation that high to train that hard, I know what it will take, I just gotta do it!!!!Team Norton
