What is the nutrition content of 1 piece of paper?

Ok well my friend thinks it has fiber in paper, is this true?

What happens if you eat paper?
How many cals does it have? Protein? Carbs?

Does it matter if you eat colored paper? Lined Paper? Glossy Paper?

Then we get into the matter of CARDBOARD PAPER, I think the thickness would equal to more fiber particles no.

Is paper a slow-digesting carb? Is it fast-digesting?

Is it suitable for a PWO MEAL? Is it a high or low GI?

Can someone please post the nutritional content of these different items.
    Thx, all help is appreciated.

If you eat paper, not much will happen, you may get a paper cut on your mouth or anus.

It has 0 cals, 0 protein, 0 net carbs.

I would think that the colored / glossy paper would contain chemicals, regular white paper would be a healthier choice.

Cardboard paper will be the same, thickness wont affect its content, just the weight will probably be heavier, so more fiber.

It is undigestible. It's GI will be around 0.

Its not suitable for a PWO meal because the fiber will slow down absorbtion of other nutrients. If eaten I would eat it with a complex carb source. a fat source, and a protein source for a regular meal.

The nutritional content is 100% undigestible fiber. It is not considered a good source of any other nutrients.

My main source of paper is when I have frozen pizza for a cheat and forget to take the cardboard off the bottom. Ive noticed that when I consume the cardboard I feel full longer, most likely due to the increased fiber intake.

    I hope that helps.

paper is made from wood fiber.
wood fiber is cellulose; cellulose can not be digested by humans (cows and horses etc can).
since it ca not be digested it has no caloric value (to humans), but has the benefits of dietary fiber; promote GI motility etc...

oats contain fiber but also carbohydrate.
there are much better ways to get fiber in the diet than eating paper!

    whole grains, fruits and vegetables...

the cardboard has a lot more substance and due to the non refined grains has a lot more fiber, the white paper has a higher GI.

actually paper does have calories... but they are useless to humans because we cannot digest them

calorie is a measurment of energy, so paper does contain them

mythbusters actually did a test on cardboard macros

The real question here is Where humans meant to eat paper?

Our distant relatives, the goat, can consume large amounts of paper in the wild.

We do have the front teeth needed for tearing paper and the back teeth needed for grinding the paper.

This may require some more research.

    I hope that helps.
    you literally made me LOL
hahah reps when i go green ;p

You can buy paper by the "bulk" too. so it must be good for bulking as well as cutting.
