do you think casein would work for the bread pudding? I have dymatizes cinnamon bun casein (which is incredible btw) but I've heard casein doesn't usually work in these recipes....also is the chocolate bread pudding basically the same idea but with a chocolate protein and maybe cocoa powder? Im seriously thinking of making one of these today....

i have the MGN cinnamon bun now, loved their cake batter before the whole fiasco with changing their protein provider and i gotta admit not as pleased with this batch... i've had about every brand out there, but any highly suggested Billy? i use it similarly to you, protein pancakes, breads, etc. as well as in sludge

edit: hope you heal up soon!

Hay guize! So, ribs are still pretty dang tender. I noticed box squats and lunges didn't bother me, so I gave them a whirl today. I backed off the load and did quite a few sets in order to at least get my volume to a reasonable level seeing as I can't get my intensity too high right now. I should be 100% in another week or so.

As far as life goes, I have been stupid busy as of late. Work, school, coaching and cooking/cleaning are taking up almost ALL of my time. I'll have an hour or so a day to spend with Sarah while I do school work, but that's about it. I won't have a day off for a few weeks. Tomorrow through thursday is work and practice, Friday is practice, Saturday is team pictures and my friend's daughter's 1st b-day and Sunday is our first preseason game. Hopefully I get a minute for personal life soon lol. I DID, however, have time to upload some food pics tonight, so enjoy!

Wow.. Do you prefer overnighting proats much more than freshly heated? I never have tried it but yours look so damn delicious. I usually just cook my oats with a little extra milk, drop in protein and eat it warm.

    [b]update[/u]

So, I haven't been able to do a whole lot lifting wise. It's been almost 12 days since I injured my ribs, and they're still pretty bad. I can tell they are on the mend, but those suckers are still sore. It's limiting what I can do in the gym, but fortunately it's only a minor setback. I have a feeling somewhere around three weeks post-injury, I'll be good to go.

In other news, I have been extremely busy, what with work, football, and school. I guess that's a good thing, but sometimes it feels like I don't have much time for anything. We have pictures early tomorrow morning, a game on Sunday, and then THANKFULLY we move down to practice 3 days a week. The kids had a scrimmage yesterday and we literally got our asses handed to us. It was like the kids all froze and forgot what they were taught lol. Hopefully that changes... anyways, I'm off to bed, so enjoy some eats.

Damn, 12 days after you twanged that rib and it's still a bit sore? Unhappy days. Well I guess you will never be wearing it too high again eh

In the mean while are you doing any light form work just to make sure you don't detrain slightly? I know 12 days is jack in the grand scheme of things, but it's not as if you need to go so heavy you need the belt anyway. Or does it hurt to just breathe?

Yeah, I can get away with light high box squats and lunges for lower. I've been doing bench and laterals, triceps, etc for upper. It only hurts to breathe when I take a REAL deep breath, otherwise it's fine unless I stretch the wrong way (if that makes sense). Sleeping is the absolute WORST

Yeah I'd prepare for 3-5 weeks.

I'd honestly consider getting rid of the inzer if I were you. I was thinking about keeping it until I put on my fluff but in the end it's really not worth having the injury happen again. It doesn't make you less "manly" like some people would like you to think if you stop using it lol. Some things just don't work out the way you'd hope they would~!

    Hope ya feel better bud.

So my ribs are at about 70% now. Still painful to sleep and I still have to sleep on my left side, but all in all, they are on the mend. I have been taking it easy lifting wise, so these were my first workouts where I could actually push the envelope a bit. Believe it or not, incline bench and close grip bench are the most painful (I still can't get a good arch in my back). Goblet squats are pretty cool, too. I just wish I had heavier db's lol.

As far as life goes, life is good. I have been kicking ass in school and have been studying like crazy for my Test of Academic Proficiency, which is quickly approaching. I am only concerned about the math portion, so I have been doing math in my free time (I know, fun, right?). OH, and my football team kicked ass tonight. We won our first regular season game. It was 22-0 at the half (yes, 2 point conversions for passing into the end zone for the PA attempt), so we took all our starters out. We had our TE playing qb, we lined a linebacker up at tailback and even had our center playing defensive tackle. It was a good time. The other team's coach actually got mad at me and came over to voice his opinion at the half. Apparently I was "scaring" his players by how loud I was cheering on my guys lol. Whoops!

Tomorrow is an off day, and I intend on catching up on some chores around the house. Good times!

I looooove when I see this pop up as the newest post in contest prep. Never lets me down. food looks awesome as always. brb wish I just had every recipe...Also, glad the ribs are starting to heal and you're back on the grind. Gratz about the football team too...BTW, I just got a crock pot and was wondering if you have a recipe site or some index with good recipes for it? Im totally clueless with it, but since school just started back up it seems like it could be extremely convenient.

    Thanks, man

You really can't go wrong with a crock pot. I am still experimenting as far as recipes go, but Chili is easy and you usually can't mess it up just winging a recipe.

Here's my pasta and peppers recipe :
1 jar chunky marinara sauce (large)
    1 can tomato sauce
    1 medium onion
    1 green pepper
    1 yellow pepper
    1 red pepper
    200g. chopped carrots
    5 mushrooms, washed and chopped.
    1 package rontini
    2 small cloves or garlic
    black pepper
    fresh oregano and basil
    2 garlic cloves

Chop and peel all veggies and throw them in crock pot with marinara sauce and all ingredients except the pasta. Stir well and cook on high for 3 hours (stirring once in a while so it doesn't stick)

Add pasta and turn to low. stir well and continue to cook for 1-2 hours. Makes a TON

eats are looking good! Looks like your stores are carrying Count Chocula! I'm waiting for those Halloween cereals to hit the stores near me! They're my fravorite, haha! Should be soon, mid September by the latest. Personally, I'm a Boo Berry guy, but I always get all three boxes!

Those eats look good man! Staying busy are ya! Another one of my weird food combos I like... Cottage cheese and chocolate chips. Warm it up like 15 seconds in the microwave to melt the chocolate chips and it gets so gooey! It is soo good! No lie!
