There are various threads where people keep on posting pics of clothes
Reality is that imagine if Brad Pitt were just to wear a white T and normal blue jeans, it wouldn't make a difference if he wore that or expensive 500 dollar Clark desert boots
People on these forums are insecure about themselves so they go out and spend mommy and daddys money on expensive clothes, whether it is made here or in Italy, it is just cotton ppl
LoL

agree with OP, mossimo athletic cut and old navy tee's are the most amazing things ever. Levi's and rainbows below and I'm set.

Agree and disagree to a certain extent.
Cheap clothes don't last as long - but then there is the argument of how long do you want your clothes to last.
Cheap shoes.. are cheap and won't last.
Cheap shirts won't fit right and won't last.
Cheap socks are just awful tbh. Socks shouldn't be too expensive anyway, no need to go extra cheap.
Cheap tshirts can be alright once you get your size right but the cuts of the arm and neckholes can be off.fukk yo sad face

I sport the pony all the time, wear sperrys, and dress pants. You mad people respect me simply because of how I dress?

You might not be able to see a difference, but you can most certainly feel a difference.
It's higher priced because the materials used are USUALLY better. I can tell a difference between my $300 dress pants and my $100 dress pants. So if the Devil wear Prada
Adam and Eve wear nada
I'm in between, but way more fresher

i never understood all the hate for expensive clothing.
I agree that expensive does not equal style, but saying its all cotton is saying an H&M suit is the same as a brioni suit which is made by artisan tailers which take 18 hours and 183 steps to assemble, ignoring all the additional time to weave the material which is weaved differently and died differently to form patterns. (brioni is what james bond wears in all the movies)
Higher end clothing, sweaters and leather for example use virgin materials. For instance virgin wool means it is the first sheering from that animal, and each additional shearing loses value to the point where it becomes very coarse and is used for cheap clothes. high quality leathers will use lambskin instead of cow hide. When people say babies have smooth skin, this is the same for any animal and using the lamb skin is much more supple and ages better. this all translates to cost as virgin wool is a 1 time only thing and a new lamb takes a while to be born.
I agree that you need the body and style to make use of the expensive clothes but to dismiss them entirely i find a bit ridiculous. you may feel there are better uses of your money, howver, for some people clothing is a collection/ hobby and is no more ridiculous than moding a car.

i think the issue here is....where'd you get the money - if you're a spoiled brat and demanding that you're parents buy you expensive clothes that one thing....but if you EARN the money (not on SSI or unemployment or food stamps, etc.) and want to buy expensive clothes and you can afford it - go for it

I used to waste a lot of money on clothes, and even now I'm tempted (only have 1 pair of pants lol). But I won't for a couple reasons:
1) it really is a waste of money
2) money should be spend on experiences (going out with friends, vacations, not clothes)
3) my "style" would change all the time and I probably wouldn't even wear it after a while
4) disregard clothing, acquire currency
