So pumped for this year to start. Feeling very optimistic about Trestman, read his wiki and I think there's a strong correlation between journeyman qbs having phenomenal seasons and being under his watch.

Nick Roach signed with Oakland, Hayes gone too who is going to play LB, I think B Lach has got maybe 2 more years of good football but def need some depth whether he is signed or not.

Oh c'mon currently the Bears have Blake Costanzo, JT Thomas, lol, and if not this year I still think we will see the Shea McClellin experiment at LB next year.

With Shea having such a hard time shedding blocks I would really like to see them finally put him at outside backer, I think he'd do a lot better.

Everybody talks about him playing middle linebacker - I'm not sure why nobody talks about him playing outside linebacker. It seems like that would be a better fit.

He's on the last year of his contract and the Bears have made no attempts to resign him. They're going to make him prove it this year. He's not comfortable, he's probably not had a season in which there'll be this much pressure on him to perform.

Plus, the Bears don't have any cap space to sign anyone that could that would challenge him, if anyone that could do that is even out there.

I think a lot of people arent aware of his skill set but since he was a first rd pick they like the idea of Shea taking over Urlacher's spot as the next great Chicago mlb/face of the team.

It's a team friendly contract, so if he screws up again at least it won't cost the Bears financially.

And he's got some talent, so if he keeps his nose clean it could end up working well for the Bears.

I'm going to miss Urlacher - but I appreciate the new regime making what they think are the best moves for the team, no matter the players reputation. The only thing that worries me is the extreme lack of depth for the linebackers (I'd settle for a third starter right now).

That would be surprising. They just signed Bushrod as LT and last year's LT J'Marcus Webb will likely slide over to RT. The Bears and most analysts actually think Webb had a decent season last year -- he'll also be competing with former first rounder Gabe Carimi and a decent backup Jonathan Scott over there.

More likely that we'd take a G in the first round than a T, but I'm guessing we'll end up waiting until Day 2 to draft any OL at this point. I'd venture to guess that it's more likely that we take Te'o than Fluker (I don't think either are likely though). Fluker doesn't fit as well in our offense anyway as his pass blocking is questionable and he's more of a high-intensity run blocker. There are several Bears linemen that grade out as positive run blockers and we will no longer be a run-first squad with the new coach.

Dolphins sign Lance Louis. While he's coming off a bad knee injury, he was one of the few on the O-line that actually played nasty/heart.

He was one of the guys i wanted the Bears to resign, and the only bright spot on our oline until his injury.. I expect him to play well for the dolphins

Started for the Jets the past three seasons. Didn't allow a sack in 2012. Only 27 as well. Great move.

the run game became pretty abysmal through him though.. Only reason I like this signing is because it was a cheap one that betters the line even just a little bit

At 20 that would surprise me. If they stick to 20 and want to add an offensive weapon, I think Eifert is more likely to be the guy.

Webb has the physical traits to be a good tackle but hasn't shown the heart, I'm not sure he will. Plus, IIRC he sucked at RT when they initially tried that out.

Considering how abysmal the line has been I don't think Emery will have any problem with adding as much competition as possible.

Teo isn't going to be play 3 downs in the NFL with the emergence of the big, fast TE's, IMO. I sincerely hope they don't have him graded as a first rounder.
