Quest Bars!
First off BIG THANKS to AFDAVE off the forums for giving me a crack at Quest Bars. I am not an advocate of protein bars because i like to get everything else from potatoes, chicken etc and enjoy my whole foods due to the cost and being on a budget they are cheaper, but with the offer I could not pass it up. I hope this is what you are looking for as far as review
Apple Pie
Taste
First of all I had high expectations. I absolutely love Apple pie around the holidays and nothing that I pass up. When I talked to dave he told me to heat it up, but i told him I would be eating it as a topping in a bowl of oatmeal, so he said try around 5 seconds. I did that and it did not make much change, just a slight warming over the outer layer.
The taste, no joke just like a cinnamon apple that was slightly warmed up while I dug into my bowl of oatmeal with other toppings. The crunch/chewy ness is awesome for a mix-in , but IMO this was ranked at the bottom out of the 3 I had because the other flavors were simply incredible. This is not bad per say, but I had higher expectations. You can even see apple chunks in the bar.
Profile
6g Fat, 24g Carbs, 20g Protein
Very solid for a person like myself who follows a low fat diet year round, it is what suits me, so this bar fit in very easy on top of a major bowl of oatmeal.
Overall?
Good Bar, out of the 3 flavors I have tried my least favorite, but no worries the other flavors. WOW.. just mind blowing as far as expectations. These bars are flavored very well and hold around 18g of fiber per bar which is insane. You will really feel the fullness off the bars when you eat them.
Chocolate Brownie
Taste
After trying 5 seconds to heat up, i tried this one for around 10-12 seconds and it made a difference. The whole outside was gooey and center was still chewy which made it perfect as a topping for my oatmeal. This was literally like going to a bakery and asking "Give me your best brownie" the chocolate is very rich and the after taste is bomb. This really hit the spot on top with cereal and fresh fruit into a bowl. It was like I had chocolate covered strawberries when i took some bites. Absolutely insane!
Profile
5g Fat, 24g Carbs, 20g Protein and 18g of fiber.
Very solid for a low fat diet and again a good dose of carbs/protein, if you need a quick hit after a workout this will tie you over for a bit. and the fiber really kicks in after an hour or so of eating it.
Overall?
Chocolate Goodness! This is a HIT right here, if you are a diehard chocolate guy (i know my trainer Jason Theobald is from ScoobyPrep.com) you will go berserk over this. Not only that the profile is solid and its not a very high caloric bar. Give this a shot if you love chocolate no doubt you will enjoy it. Have it with a side of strawberries or eat with a banana to really get a chocolate banana/strawberry type of meal going on.
Peanut Butter and Jelly
Taste
When i saw the words peanut butter and jelly my eyes light up. I am a diehard PB fan because my diet is so low in fat so i try to get as much PB a day as i can Seeing the bar had 10g of fat was an ok thing because I knew about the PB in it. BUT the jelly is what shines in the bar, not the peanut butter. It is like having a PBnJ sandwich but with 1 tbsp peanut butter and 4 Tbsp Jelly that overpowers the flavoring. My favorite flavor by far because you get a short peanut butter kick with an overpowering jelly flavoring. Heated up for around 15 seconds and this was the sweet spot for me in topping it on other things! Highly reccomend.

Similar to the above, but a little higher in fat. Very good considering whats in it compared to the others.
Overall?
PB n J > Chocolate Brownie > Apple Pie
IMO of the 3 flavors I have had. I really look forward to seeing Lemon Cream Pie, Cinnamon etc in the NEW upcoming line! I have a feeling those will be superb!
Quest, thanks again for your time and effort I hope this review helps you and your consumers!!!

Great review bob!! I love the brownie too. We heat for less time since our microwave is so high powered! I did a bar for 15 secs on ours once and it was a gooey mess! Still yummy though!

Awesome review Bob. We have very similar tastes, however, chocolate brownie gets the nod from me . Wait till you try vanilla almond crunch!

Let us know how the protein cake turns out. How about adding some cool whip or mock whip cream (gy style) on top as well? Should be bomb!!

Cinnamon Roll Quest Bars
Taste
This is the best flavor I have tried out of the 4 flavors I have had. This is a good mix of a Carmel Candy Bar with a fusion of Cinnamon. I don't know how anyone could rate this down, but its very good if you like carmel, cinnamon, or a mix of both. I let my mom and my brothers girlfriend also have a bite and they said "This is healthy" they were hooked because it was the first time they ever had a quest bar.
Just heated up (as seen below) this was 18 seconds in the microwave and it started to stick to the plate I had it on. I placed it back on the wrapper to give a better view of the bar. This still was not melted throughout i could chop it up and it would go into a sludge bowl very well (as shown below) Mixed with Reesee Peanut Butter Tree, Chocolate Covered Pretzels, and strawberries (what a mix huh?) Very good bowl and outstanding flavor. I am eager to see what the new prototype bars (Lemon Cream Pie) especially has to taste like. This had high expectations and this delivered.
For those who have had XF 2.0 Cinnamon Roll and Trutein Cinnabun it is not as strong as a cinnamon or creamy flavoring, but its nothing overpowering in the bar form. I find that this is a happy medium between both protein powders to those who have tried them with a carmel touch to it (again just what I picked up)
As a Bar:
In the sludge:
Profile
Could not find a picture of the label online but i am certain they are around
5g Fat
25g Carbs
20g Protein
~ 15-18g of fiber (not 100% Sure)
but this is a very solid nutritional information especially for those dieting. This will be a good staple for me on contest prep starting in march to help keep me full from my next meal due to the fiber content. Especially if I am on the go and cannot get fruits or veggies in my diet. Less fat than the regular quest bars.
Overall
Solid taste, and I am really eager to see what the new flavors coming from quest have to offer. I expect great things coming and I know that they will deliver as far as flavor goes. Keep up the great work Quest and thank you again to the represenative and the head boss for their support.
Big Thank you to Quest and AFDave again for their courtesy in sending me a sample to try out and review. I hope this will help those who are looking into the new stuff coming from quest.

My brother and his G/F had a bite of the cinnamon before I threw it into the sludge bowl, and they wanted the other bar so I gave it to them. Unfortunately I do not have another cinnamon, but maybe in the future I will invest in them. Have to say that flavor was the best I have had out of the 4 I have tried. Thanks again Dave!
