Sup!
As many of you know, my name's Kyle and I'm a badass mutherphucker.
Srsly though...I started my journey at 14, benching and curling like a sikkunt and never making progress. After 4 years of spinning my wheels, I decided to take the plunge and step on stage. I did two shows in 2010 and took a 4th and 7th in the teens. From the moment I stepped off the stage, I was hooked, and starting my preparation for 2011.
Here's where I started:
Skip to my first contest in 2010:
Fast forward to last month and I had the best season ever. This time, I was awarded a 3rd and 1st placings in the same shows that I did in 2010, which qualified me to compete in the INBA Australian Nationals where I placed 5th in the teens. This is bar far, the best I've ever looked:
To take a look at my 2010/11 prep log, it all started here:
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=127903603
Now that I'm the ripe age of 20 and forever a midget, my plans are to just keep training, dieting and living my life the way I want to. I have no idea when I'll step on stage again, but I know that when I do...I'll be bringing the best me possible. Seeing the progress that I have made naturally over the last 12 and 24 months has been an incredible mindfuk, and thus has shown me first hand the benefits of putting in time, consistency, and a fukload of hard work.
For those of you who have followed my previous log, you'd know that I do things a little differently. I take all my sets to failure, do stupid amounts of cardio and eat the same old boring stuff, day in and day out. I firmly believe that if you don't find enjoyment in doing something, then there's no point in doing it. I love what I do, how I do it, and that's all that matters to me. Is it optimal in a bodybuilding sense? Probably not. Does it enhance my lifestyle? More than anything.
My goals for this "offseason" are pretty simple. Get stronger, get bigger, get healthier and above all...make progress. My training is somewhat maniacal but there is a method in my madness. At 3:30am on most days, you'll find me in the gym. I don't care about weight, sets, reps or all that jazz. I count it all, but the only thing that matters to me is beating what I did the previous session. My strength took a big hit this prep, and considering I'm weighing under 130lbs, my main focus is building that back up. I train 6 days a week, with 45 minutes of cardio post workout on 5 of those days. I typically rest 20-30 seconds between all my sets and exercises, some more and some less, but rarely do I ever go over 45 seconds. My philosophy is pretty simple...get in, f*ck sh*t up, destroy yourself and then get out.
In terms of my diet, I don't count anything. I make all my dietary changes based on how I feel and how I look, and even then I'll just a bit of whatever here and there. As I eat the same stuff consistently, it's easy for me to just adjust my portion sizes. I don't have the time (or willingness) to count numbers up for different meals, nor do I really care all that much about food, so I just know what I need to eat and prepare it all every 3-4 days. However, for all those interested I did count my numbers up of what I eat just I have a baseline. I'm currently sitting 3 weeks after my season finished, and have been slowly increasing my calories via adding a bit more carbs and fats. At the moment, I'm taking in roughly 40/210/270 every day (f/c/p). inb4 flame wars over excessive protein.
So there we have it. I don't like to think of myself as a bodybuilder, or anything out of the ordinary. I'm just a ripped manlet living life on my terms, taking each day as it comes and doing everything in my power to make the most of my waking hours. This year has taught me how regain a balance in my life, and let my efforts in the gym spill out into many other ventures. I don't do this to win trophies, to get recognition or to slam women...my motives are simple...I do what I love, and love what I do.
Let's do this!

2 Weeks Post-Comp
So I snapped these up this morning, currently 3.5lbs over my depleted weight 2 days pre comp. I haven't missed a beat with my diet or training since getting back, and today I'm going out to lunch with a bunch of mates to FINALLY celebrate my birthday that I had to postpone. Not going to give a phuck about what I eat...goddamn is that a good feeling!
Here's some pics I snapped up this morning after about 3 meals...
New goal for this off season......get a freakin' tan.

Late but in and Happy Birthday bro (again late!)
in regards to your goals for the off season, do you have short-term goals you would like to hit, say every few weeks. I know you will bounce straight back into it, but just for my own personal struggle with back to back racing seasons, I find I burn out with yearly goals and focus heavily on short-term ones :P (thought i'd create some form of topic for the new thread)- If you can't explain it simply, then you don't understand it well enough.
