Nostalgia'ing hardcore on this game since yesterday. DL'd a ps1 emulator, popped my disc in the HD and engaged in childhood. I was never amazing at this as a kid, but I did find it a lot of fun,

Cloud sucks donkey dick in that game, but I always have him in my party. Ramza as a Monk with Squire moves as his secondary skillset. Orlandu, who you could probably beat the entire game with if he were your only charecter, and Rafa and Malik for the lulz. God I love that game. I saw a PS1 emulator for Android phones. My team was always:
Ramza- as a squire w/ two swords skill.
T.G. Cid
Agrias
Worker 8
Then the mechanic (w/ chemist second skill) or, eventually, Beowulf (or whatever his name was, he was on the sidequest at the snowy coal mine).
BTW, for the 1 on 1 fight, have Ramza as a ninja w/ equip armor skill and auto-potion skill.

For those who want to make the game super easy, learn the item duplication trick. It let's you make a double of any weapon in the game. Use it after you get Cid for enough Excaliburs for the whole team.
When you get to chapter 4, have Ramza learn Scream IMMEDIATELY. Use it as much as possible to get your stats over the top.

My roommate just picked up a hard copy of this the other day and is playing through it again. So much nostalgia!
I prefer Tactics Ogre and Fire Emblem (GBA) however. Tell me Fire Emblem was not the best tactics game ever?

By far my favorite game of all time. Got the game when it first came out way back in second grade, I've probably beaten it ten times or so. Its the only game i've ever truly mastered. Anyone ever play the war of the lions version? they added cutscenes and a few extra missions and whatnot. It originally came out for psp but they recently released it for the iphone. it's 16 bucks so i'm waiting for it to go on sale since i already own three copies of this game. best ost of anygame ive ever played too

i spent over 9000 hours on this game as a kid
best final fantasy ever besides FF3
to beat wiegraf and own anything else in the game with just ramza, just run away and use "yell" until you have 30 turns in a rowblue checkered button up from banana and jeans <3
