Facing lots of challenges in the next few weeks with the holidays. Had a bad cheat day yesterday and feeling very moody because of it. Hoping to be able to control myself.
Will try to stay motivated by checking in to this thread and reading peoples' journals.
My gym will be closed for 2 weeks, when I need it the most but will do my best not to destroy all of the progress.

only about 4.5 weeks left tell the final pics can be taken, time to get serious and finish strong! I upped my calories last week and lost weight somehow crazy metabolism, gotta bump the calories up again

This week has been hard for diet and work out wise. I was not able to make it to the gym because I was so busy with work and also was sick... this cold is going around.

Hope everyone's weekend is great. Mine is. Worked out good. Went to Maryland & ate great crap. Amazing how a University can barely serve up a decent meal, but can turn out this awesome natural homemade ice cream! Then went to great burger joint in DC! It was sooo worth it. Off to pay for it now via extra cardio session.

So I didnt miss any weight training this week. I initally did but I made it up Friday. I got a 12 hour over time shift need that green baby. Yesterday I went to the gym to do my cardio I planned on doing a hour but I didnt relise the hours of the gym and I had to leave after only 40 minuets of cardio.
My run is getting way way better. Last night I started off slow and every 2 laps I would encrese the speed. I at least completed my 1.5 mile run that is required for my PT test along with a bike ride.
Today Im over hauling my house and cleaning and ABS. As well preping food for the next few days.
Also I just would like to make it clear that in this challenge I wasnt really expecting huge changes but one of my major goals was to just complete the challenge and not get dropped like I did last challenge.

Wow....week 12 already??? Crap, I am running out of time! LOL This past week was quite hectic as I am sure was everyone else's but I did manage to stick to my workout schedule and got it all done. Diet was great from Mon - Thurs, then Fri night was girls night in at my house.....I served lobster rolls on a scooped out baguette ( reasonably diet friendly) scallops sauted in a bit of EVOO (still good), coleslaw with Walden Farms dressing and a garden salad (dieters dream)........wine(lots and lots) and cheesecake ('nuf said) LOL.
This week will be super busy for me so I planning to cram 4 workouts in 3 days. I usually do a Mon Tues Thurs Fri split. This week will be Sun Mon and Tues. The rest of the week is jammed packed for me.....put am hoping to try and squeeze a little cardio in on Wed and Thurs. Notice I said "hoping".........Next week is looking like it will be just as busy so will probably to a similar schedule to this week...

I have been ramping up my calories slowly ever since my first contest about 7 weeks ago. Right now Im sitting at around 2700 calories and will most likely bump it up to 3000 for this upcoming week. Will probably create a whole extra meal out of that lol.
I might have ramped the calories up to slow so I think this boost should provide a decent steady weight gain. Thats crazy 3500cal at 145lbs of weight lol you must have been loving it! Im jealous of all the people who eat 4000 a day to bulk lol but who knows I might be surprised with how much I can eat without gaining too much excess fat

I agree. Your weight loss has farther implications than this contest. Use the contest to spur you onward, but remember this is about obtaining better health and better life.
On another note, today is Sunday (my day off from exercise) and I just finished looking at "1492". It is a story about Christopher Columbus. I enjoyed the movie and found two quotes that I really like. Here they are:
"Riches don't make a man happy, they only make him busier" how true, I have observed this in my life.
