    What the heck do you do in the gym between sets? ? ? ? ? ? ?

    This might sound like a weird question, but what do you do between sets.

    I pretty much just stare at my shoes or get a drink of water...

    Ideas?

    I see a lot of guys on cell phones...

    On squats, I usually do stretches for my hips (flexibility sucks, but getting better).


    But otherwise, I just kinda sit, focus, sometimes refill water bottle.


    Best thing I've ever seen: guy always brings newspaper to the weight room, reads between sets. His form sucks though, might be better off with a weightlifting book!

    I drink water, catch my breath, and then walk around aimlessly until I'm ready for the next set. Many days I have a lot going on in my life so I think about that, sometimes even during a set, which is never good.

    This is the great thing about working out at home. I set a stop watch for a min thirty and get what chores done I can squeeze in between sets. By the time my workout is done so are all my little house hold chores.

    damn, i spend my time trying to recover from my last set. perhaps i should lift my time between sets...

    seriously though, i find that on my big compounds - particularly pull-ups and flat bench - it takes me the majority of my time between sets (1min+) to get my breathing right before the next one.

    will check out the cardio bunnys given the oppertunity tho

    I stretch the muscle i've just worked as well as the opposing muscle. I also flex, found that it helps me focus on that muscle group when i go for the next set.
