I'll give anything a shot, so sure I'll try it, but I never spend that long in the gym. I find an hour, maybe an hour and 15 minutes and I start falling off. Maybe the dextrose will help with that. The new SS routine will have my workouts lengthened quite a bit from what I'm used to.

Mine's a 30% dextrose, 30% maltodextrin, 40% whole grain brown rice starch (which has a GI higher than dextrose) powder, which you simply take a 30g scoop of and mix in water. I got it from True Protein.
I mix it with my Purple Intrain (http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/cl...leintrain.html), and about 28 fl. oz. of water.Training, philosophy, nutrition and biomedical discussion (2.0): http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=146797403

Copied from my log:
Epic Fail Squatting (9:40 PM - 9:55 PM):
The gym closed at 10 PM. I thought it closed at 11 PM. Enough said. Today was supposed to be an epic leg day. In reality, it turned into an epic-fail leg day.
Squats (low-bar, trying to break with hips): 135x5, 135x5, 185x5, 225x5, 275x0, 275x0
I never realized how much the stretch reflex and a narrow stance was natural to me until I spread my legs out wider and didn't use the stretch reflex. Wow. I officially squat more using high-bar and going ATG than I do with low-bar and breaking parallel. My knees (what felt like my LCLs) didn't like this stance as much as narrow and high-bar, but that's probably just my body adjusting.
I also experienced a bit of a shoulder twinge when I got under the 225-pound bar to squat it up from the rack (after failing 275). It's still a bit sore, but I don't think I pulled anything since there is no pain.
Epic fail video:
I seriously felt like yelling "MOTHER ****ER!" at the top of my lungs when I heard that "LA Fitness will be closing in five minutes" message.Training, philosophy, nutrition and biomedical discussion (2.0): http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=146797403

My squats today sucked too.
I was supposed to do 417.5 2x5, but I forgot my incredibly awesome 1.25 plates, so I decided to try 420.
None of the guys I usually ask to spot me were around, so I asked random PT#2 for help. Told him I'd do the 5 reps on my own, I just wanted him there in case something went wrong. I go down for my first squat and sure enough, as I start to come up, he grabs the bar and helps with my lift... Second set, I tell him explicitly not to touch the bar, so as I start to come up he does the obvious thing and grabs me by the elbows ("just helping out with your balance") and proceeds to help me with every single rep... He's a really nice guy and meant well, but that's the last time I ask him to spot me. The good thing about it is the complete lack of soreness, I think my worksets were way easier than my last warm-up set.
I'll be at the beach next week so no squatting, the week after that I'll go for 417.5 rather than 420 again or 422.5, I'll also start doing 1x5 on fridays rather than 2x5, the second set is starting to feel ridiculously heavy compared to the first one.

Tell me about it, man. Low-bar and breaking at the hips feels beyond unnatural to me. I'm probably going to work on the low-bar for warm-up sets tomorrow, and then do some high-bar ATG squats afterward.
God... Gaga is so ****ing overplayed, man. She's actually not even close to the worst artist on the radio (and some of her songs are listenable to), but DAMN I get sick of hearing "Aly-Aly-Jandro, Aly-Aly-Jandrooooooo" every five minutes of my day.Training, philosophy, nutrition and biomedical discussion (2.0): http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=146797403
