Not great form at all.. video is i think 4 months old. But my max is the same sadly. 405lbs at 145lb BW
I guess its evident i lack strength from the floor as its a poor starting position, and mostly a SLDL. Has anyone had success with using 35lb plates instead of 45's? Or lifting from a raised platform? Would that be a better way to increase my strength from the floor then just changing my starting position?
When i am in a perfect starting position i could probably only pull 255 ish for one rep.
Any advice would be great thx guys.

IMO yes that will hlepy your dead increase, i hit a plateu and used rack pulls to help get past it, then when i platued again i was stuck for a while, it was only when i was doing SLDL, which i with my feet on a little exercise stepper, that i realised how hard it was to pull from the floor when elevated and the weights heavy, so i incorporated them into my back workout and i feel they really helped, more muslce fibres get recruited aswell because you have to work over a greater distance. and you get so used to pull from down lower that, regular deads start to feel like rack pulls if you know what i mean.

I have to agree with the form not being the best, but still, nice lift bro. Especially at your bodyweight.

damn. lol nice weight there.
personally I just started doing deadlifts and they are now by far my favorite exercise. I've only done SLDL's so far though and I'm thinking about incorporating some regular deadlifts too. Which are easier though, SLDL's or regular deadlifts? Just wondering cus I wanna know how much I should adjust my weight.Doggcrapp.
