Quote from PLWatch.com
On Monday, Jason Coker, 181, turned down his all-time record bench press of 771 pounds which he made on Saturday at the APF Big Iron Open in Omaha, Nebraska. Coker made the decision after repeatedly watching video of the lift. Coker, "I have always said I would never accept a gift and I NEVER will. I was once beat in Dallas by someone who's lifts should have never counted and it sucks! I knew the lift was not one of my better ones but I thought it was legal however after watching the video over and over again Im not happy with it. At this time I am declining the lift. I wasn't happy with 771 anyway I would have been just as happy bombing as I am good for over 800@ 181."
Coker continues, "[Jay] Fry the record is still yours but enjoy it while it lasts.LOL Im going 181 again and will hit over 800. To all the Anon cowards, dont think your cowardly posts had anything to do with this decision. I just know that I am a far better lifter than I was on Saturday."

INZERIf what I see does not amaze me, I am not looking hard enough.
The more you learn, the more you realize you don't know.

I was at the meet and it looked a hell of a lot cleaner in person than it did on video. That's very admirable for Coker to do that, considering the consensus of the people that were at the meet thought it was a close-but-good-lift. Mucho respecto.
