It's mainly my lower back, will be at 3 sets of 10 at 220lbs next week. The one thing i do different to the guy in the video is that between reps, i never place the weight back down on the ground, generally a few inches off the ground. The weight only touches the ground after completing the final rep of a set.

Keep your hips higher, they shoot up before the bar starts to move because they're way too low.
It also puts your scapulas behind the bar instead of over it, that's why your back angle becomes more steep as the bar comes off the floor.
The initial knee extension should move the bar, if it doesn't, you lose efficiency and basically end up stiff legging it. Keep the slack out of the elbows as you initiate the lift as well.Last edited by Kiknskreem; 06-15-2008 at 03:23 PM.
