My bad. I meant the lower (knee) portions of these.

I think most of my sweep comes from the fact that I have smaller hips, and just structure. I still have a very hard time believeing that you can focus on certain parts of the quad more than others. I have this issue with my triceps, they don't really flair out much. They just go straight down. LOL

Though one thing is for sure, you came give the illusion of a good sweep if you simply have good development in that area, and you diet properly. Little smoke and mirrors with the posing goes a long way to.

Deep and heavy hacks have been good for accentuating my sweep..but I think mine started developing from years and years of playing ice hockey goalie.

Also, DC quad stretches worked well, and heavy front squats.

You can try using one of those form cushions or even a towel. I also find it helps keeping your head back and look slightly upwards to prevent you falling forward.

Using the leg press with feet close and toes turned ever so slightly in also works them...just have to find what you like.
Agree completely....any of the leg basics (Squats, Hacks, Leg Press) with a narrow stance will really hammer the outer quads. And...the often neglected Front Squats will remove the glutes/hams from the movement and really hit the quads.

if your gym doesn't have hack squat, give sissy squats a try.
you can also do back squats with heels raised (place 2.5 lb plates under heels) to put more focus on your quads.

Big quads = big sweep, people who say they need to "improve their outer sweep" really just need to get bigger quads

I agree with you to some extent. My inner quads and teardrops are quite developed, but my outer sweep is non-existent.

personaly I dont know for certain bc my legs have always been a good point, even before i started training them

i like to think close stance movements , feet close together, on any movements helped. hack squats may help idk. I would have to say closer stance leg exercises might stress that area a bit more
