Great deadlifting Woody.
I don't think I've ever asked you this, but have you ever watched Eastbound and Down?

Tuesday 11.27.12- Macenko's Week 4A
This was suppose to be done yesterday but real lift made me push it back to today. Thursday's will have to be pushed to Friday, then I'll hopefully be back on schedule next week!
The reps didn't feel very smooth tonight. I dunno why, I just felt like I was all over the place. Shoulders are a tad sore, but nothing to worry about I don't think.
Bench
45 x 10
135 x 5
155 x 3
175 x 8
220 x 6
230 x 5
245 x 4
260 x 3
260 x 3
260 x 3
Final set was an AMRAP set, but my lower back cramped at the top of the 2nd rep. Hit a 3rd then racked it. Would have had at least 4. It could be my body's way of keeping me in check- I was feeling greedy and I probably would have pushed to failure
PRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

Still a solid session Woody. Hopefully the shoulder soreness is nothing to worry about!

Thanks dude! I don't think the shoulder soreness anything to worry about. Delts just feel sore like they've been worked hard
gotta take care and think ahead. Still a lot of program ahead of me and there'll be plenty more chances for rep PRsPRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

Smart job not forcing any more reps on that last set, smart work listening when to stop.
Your doing awesome so far mate, take an extra day off next week if you need to bro.~~~~~~~~~~

Thanks my man! Ill definitely take an extra day if I need it
I think the issue I'm having is trying to find the right speed of descent. I don't want to go so fast that its out of control but I also don't want to waste energy going super slow.
After Macenkos I'm planning on adding some paused bench back into my routine. That always helps with power of the chest plus you have to be a bit more controlled with the descent because you stop instead of that immediate reversal.PRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1

Yeah im kinda the same, i tend to rush my decent of the bar and as a result can bounce too much. But too slow makes it way harder.
I think the pause benching would be great to bring back soon, i liked CG bench with pause and chains. That sh.it helped power development a lot.
Looking forward to week 4 for me, got couple of 270 sets, recon ill smash them mate~~~~~~~~~~
