Holy crapoly - it's tough to keep up with your journal!
Hooray for the 2.5 month job!!!
Don't sweat the commute too much. Whenever I have to travel for work, I hate that I have to get up so early, but I've really learned to enjoy the quiet do-nothing time I have on the train and metro (okay, just the train, I can read an eBook then, on the metro I'm checking out the sketchy peeps or holding on to a rail for dear life haha). I also try to take some pleasure in the walking parts of the commute knowing that a lot of people don't get the chance to be active at that moment in time - they are stuck in a car somewhere on the highway. I run up the steps and escalators with my laptop bag and huge purse like a crazy woman as if it were a game - I make it a game in my head anyway ("how fast can I get there? make the quads burn just a little bit while you can!")
Okay - commute pep talk over. You're such a positive girl - I know you see where I'm going with the "see the good in every moment" thing here...
PS - Loved the two pics that showed off the lats - very cool!!Please join me on my journey to find balance:

Yay!
Walking dead is good! I still like Game of Thrones and sparticus more, but a good show!
Assassins creed 3! Do want!
Woot!
Aww, thanks so much for that! You made me feel better I agree! I found out today that it's 1.4 km away from the first bus stop at the mall, so I'm planning on jogging to work from there every morning! It'll wake me up + make things more interesting Hahahhaa! You remind me of myself- I'm always running around like a crazy person, then I laugh at myself for looking so ridiculous and look even more crazy! Especially with my dress pants on and purse in hand! Hahaha! It's fun though!
Thank you! Trying to improve them!!! I think it's working
Love the idea of reading on the bus! Never thought of that- I'm always so bored! Perhaps I'll buy a new book this weekend (smiley face)Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

Hey Lori!
Yay for more temp jobs!
When I lived in Toronto, I really enjoyed commuting on the subway, for the same reason marathonmom mentioned. Just nice to have some quiet "me" time in the run of a busy day. It's also a good time to have a wee little nap (as long as you know you're not going to miss your stop!). I'm also slightly weird (yeah, like that's a newsflash!) and really enjoyed people-watching. So interesting!
Busy busy busy! Life gets so hectic sometimes. I hope you get a chance to relax this weekend, and I hope your cold gets nipped in the bud. Have you ever tried ColdFX?My Journal - Large, But Not in Charge: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=128025573

I don't like her either!
I'm a people watcher too! Always fascinated me!
The bus ride turned out to be super speedy! I actually got there faster than my other job
Yup- I always take them when I feel yucky! Andrew swears by them so he always keeps a bottle around They help for sure!
They're just pics! I was too lazy to upload the videos, so I captured a few pics of them because I was happy with my lats!Last edited by gobbles23; 11-09-2012 at 05:38 PM.

Thank you! It sure will
It was ok. I'm really tired lately- I think it's almost TOM and the week before hits me hard sometimes! Especially since I haven't been getting much sleep. Just wiped! I did do some stuff though!
Too busy lately though- really enjoying this beer right now
I couldn't believe it!
Happy Friday Andrea! Thank you! I'm just a little sleepy. I had to get up at 5:40ish and I'm not used to that after getting up early all week......And almost that time of the month....Totally almost fell alseep on the bus on the way home! In 3 minutes of having my eyes closed! But I don't feel as sick-ish. Still a little though, but I might just be run down.
Only the first 2? Get on it man!

Hey guys! Sleepy today! Kind of...moody...and I think it affected my day! It was also dark and foggy. And I was tired. It was like a big dream or something. lol! And it's not as bright and pretty and big and rich as the other place was. And the color of the walls were blue-ish and added to my whole somber-atmosphered day. Yes. Too tired to make english sentances coherent. Or maybe it's the beer and the joint Hahahahha! Oh dear. What a tiring week I had! I'm pooped.
Yesterday I did the bare minumum of a workout, I did zerchers really deep with 145 (+5lbs) and I did close-grip floor presses with 105 (+5lbs) and I did sissy squats with a 35lb plate (they're hard!) and I that was about it. My lower back is still ridiculously sore so I left out hammies. I am NOT recovering lately- my muscles or my immune system, so I think it's time for a nice break from lifting for a week. Or it could just be that week before TOM where I feel exhausted- I may be fine in a day or two (<--- that's me trying to be incredibly hopeful but knowing I'm going against my better judgement )
Yeah. I have to go finish drinking and spend some quality time with Stephen and then spend some quality Game of Thrones Watching time with him and Andrew when he gets home. Relaxing tonight! Shopping round 2 tomorrow! We met at the mall when we got off work and tried shopping, but it didn't work out. Trying the other mall tomorrow!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

Glad the new bus ride was quick! Hopefully next week you have a better day at work. Having a head cold and TOM hitting at the same time isn't fun and would make me feel a little pooppy. Rest up, get some antioxidants and maybe a nice flavored coffee is in order
Yay for shopping! Is it for fun stuff? If this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.

No internet all weekend! It was awful! On Friday we went to the mall after work- so no workout. On Saturday we went to the mall and Andrew was alseep all morning and we got home and had to get ready for the dinner party. No workout. On Sunday we went to the mall and then we went grocery shopping. Did laundry, handwashed stuff, cooked supper, made lunches, coloured my hair, didn't get a workout in. Today I was dying to do a leg workout but when I got home I found Andrew in a heap on the couch passed out So....No workout But on the plus side- I have much more energy than I had all last week, so maybe the break is doing me good.
I have decided though since I only got 3 in last week and it's virtually impossible to workout on the weekends- that I'm going to switch to 3 days. One leg day, one horizontal push/pull, and one vertical push/pull. All during the week before the weekend. I couldn't afford protein powder and I'm not getting as much as I would like so recovery is low anyway. Plus I've been running back and forth from the bus stop at the mall to work in the mornings and evenings with a heavy bookbag on my back (plus lots of walking on my lunch breaks to keep me sane!) and I'm just not recovering as quickly as I would like, so 2 leg days just aren't working for me anyway.
Will do legs tomorrow instead, and try to get horizontal push/pull in on Wednesday and Vertical push/pull in on Friday, much to my displeasure. I wanted Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, but no. Not this week! Anyway, gotta go do stuff! Will catch up with you all shorty!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

I MISS YOU ALL SO MUCH! Can't wait to see how you're all doing- I haven't had a chance to breath lately. Still have to showr and eat supper and it's already 7:20. But I got my workout in!!!!!! JOY! Andrew woke up! Lol! Yay! Today was tough due to all the running (I have to make it to the bus stops at specific times...) my legs were pretty tired, but they’ll get used to it! Plus it’s STILL almost TOM and I’m really feeling it in the last few hours. My back is all achy and stuff, but I’m glad to have gotten it done!
Legs!
RDL: 3x3-5 reps
135x8
185x5
215x3
240x3 (lower back was feeling weak)
225x5
I decided to switch things up a little here
Deficit Deads:
185x5
Deficit RDL:
185x5
185x5 (these were awesome- going to keep them in for a while )
Zerchers: 3x3-5 reps
45x10
95x5
120x3
140x5
140x5 (+1 rep)
140x4
Box Squats: 3x8-10 reps
95x8
125x5
145x10
145x10
145x8
Sissy Squats:
35lb Plate x 14
This took me one hour. I wanted to do lunges after box squats but again, I think I pulled a part of my left quad so I cut it a bit short.
Loving my job! I’m not hard to please! lol! Not going to stay once the contract is up because the pays not that great, but I do like other things about it! I have my own desk/cubicle I get to decorate!!!! I’m getting a mini Christmas tree for it! WHoo HOO! SO excited! Everyone there thinks it’s funny that I’m so excited about it, but I can’t help it. Will take some piccies! (smiley face)
Videos!
Calves! I don’t even train them so I’m happy!!
And an updated leg piccie! Still TOM fluffy, but not bad considering
