    Protein Intake

    What is the average protein intake for gainers, i have heard .5g per pound of body weight and i have heard 1.5g per pound of body weight. What do you guys do for protein intake per day?

    I would go for like 400-450 grams a day if I were you since you weigh 260.

    Well at 6'5" 260lbs is light for college football. So i figured i could get a headstart on weight gaining so i dont have to redshirt hopefully. My goal is over 7 months to gain 20 lbs and weigh 280, but realistically i want to loose some body fat and looked somewhat cut at 280. So its more like gaining 25-30 lbs of pure muscle and still weighing 280. Its goin to be a really long hard road and alot of commitment. I just got done recording a notebook on most of the food i eat daily so i can record my daily intake. I will post before and after pics, i am really looking forward to seeing how it ends up because this is my first transformation. Any tips will be greatly accepted.

    Well 256 on someone 6'5(6'6?)isn't the same as 256 on someone 6 foot. But uh I would go with 1.5 since u seem to have a muscular frame. I would also take protein shakes pre or post workout(depeneds on what other supplements u take) and not count htem in ur daily intake. GL!

    I strongly disagree with not counting them, they are 85% of my protein intake! I get about 300 grams a day and im 185lbs 5'8''. I gain so fast my stretch marks are growing daily, with my abs still visable.

    When bulking I usually go for 1.5-1.8grams per pound of body weight.
