What is the average protein intake for gainers, i have heard .5g per pound of body weight and i have heard 1.5g per pound of body weight. What do you guys do for protein intake per day?

Well at 6'5" 260lbs is light for college football. So i figured i could get a headstart on weight gaining so i dont have to redshirt hopefully. My goal is over 7 months to gain 20 lbs and weigh 280, but realistically i want to loose some body fat and looked somewhat cut at 280. So its more like gaining 25-30 lbs of pure muscle and still weighing 280. Its goin to be a really long hard road and alot of commitment. I just got done recording a notebook on most of the food i eat daily so i can record my daily intake. I will post before and after pics, i am really looking forward to seeing how it ends up because this is my first transformation. Any tips will be greatly accepted.
