Pretty much all whey protein products I have seen write "contains soy" on them.
Why is that?
Is there a whey protein that does not contain soy at all?

because a lot of them are processed in the same facilities that may process soy products. Same reason you see "may contain nuts, may contain soy" written on a million different things that don't have nuts or soy in them.
If soy is not listed in the ingredients, then it doesn't any more than minuscule trace amounts of it.

are you afraid of the so called "estrogen raising effects" of soy which have been debunked already or are you allergic to it?
even straight up whey protein isolate with nothing in it has traces of soy lecithin"If I hit my mom back I'd be dead" - Ronnie Coleman

Wouldn't that mean that milk itself has traces of soy lecithin, since whey is extracted off milk?
I still cannot understand where these traces come from
I am not allergic to soy, but it seems a bit weird to me how a product that is supposed to be extracted from milk has soy traces in it, and this happens in every brand actually, so I am interested to learn how this happens.
Thank you for your answer.

from wikipedia under lecithin
