What would be a good standing long jump?
Goal of June football camp = 400lb squat

Football players at the combine jump somewhere between 9 and 10 feet, that should give you an idea.

i dont know what a combine jump is but 10 feet sounds insane. mine was about one of the highest in the skewl and was 8"8. I'd say about anything over 8 is pretty damn good.

at my camp i went 8'4 and was graded average for a 230lb LB
there were about 3 people beter than me, they were taller.
one went 8'7 the others went 9'3 9'5The misconception is that one dies in the pursuit of their personal limits; in truth, they've found it.

between 8-9 would probably be pretty decent for a highschool athlete. In college i think 9-10 would be more necessary. I jumped 10' 8" this year and beat all the other throwers as a D1 school. It really depends on weight and position though. I'd think under 200lbs should be able to jump 10-11' as a good mark, 200-230 9-10' would be good, and everyone else 8-9'... Some of the extremely large linemen I'd think 7-8' would be reasonable. Standing triple hit 31' 1"
Most weighed: 236 lbs
Most benched: 405lbsx3... also hit 225 32 times at the combine
Most Squatted: 450x10 (1 rep est: 600 lbs)
Most Deadlifted: 500x8
Most Curled: 150x8 (75lb DB, 8x each arm)
Biggest Chest: 49"
Biggest Arms: 18.5"
Biggest thighs: 27"
Biggest Neck: 20"

A combine jump is simply a broad jump done at a combine scouting session. You can you internet searches to see what guys at various levels of competition are scoring at your position.Originally Posted by b~rad

I am a collegiate track and field long jumper and I broad jump 3.10M which is 10'2

It depends on how tall you are; 1.5x your height is very, very good.
