Well first off, after your workout, you should also consume carbs. So throw in some oats in your protein shake and mix it all together. Second, I eat 1HR after my post-workout shake which has good course of carbs and lean protein.

I.E - Brown rice with chicken breasts.

How long after whey protein is it ok to eat more?

I'm just wondering because I know the body can only use so much protein at a time. So this is what I currently do....

    Work out 11:30-12:30.
At 12:30 I drink two scoops of whey isolate (50 grams of protein) mixed with water.

So my question is how long should I wait after my whey isolate to eat another high protein meal? And I can only eat this meal either between 1:15 and 1:30ish or until 2:50 (i have class from 1:50-2:50).

Right now what I'm doing is eating some fruit at 1:30 then a protein bar at 3 (cafeteria closes at 2 for lunch). So I'm wondering if I ate a meal at 1:30, would whatever protein I get be used or wasted? I mean I know whey isolate is used by the body really fast but how fast and how long after to eat I don't know.

Sorry if I rambled too much, but hopefully someone can help me out. Thanks in advance.
