Dumbellbuddy raised their price on the Powertec rack

    http://www.dumbbellbuddy.com/powerte...rack_only.html
    Raised their price to $389.

Found this company that still has it for $369, has anybody bought from them before?

I only paid $359 shipped from bodybuilding.com using a 10% coupon which I found using a google search

    10% off $99 or more: 10off99aff

Might as well get it from BB then. None of these places stock it, so you are going to be waiting for Powertec to ship it in any case.

    Skittles,

I just bought that exact same rack at the exact same price. That is probably the best deal you are going to find on a non-commercial power rack. I live in West Virginia and received my rack within 4 days of ordering. Jesup Gym is a very reliable company with excellent customer service. The only knock on it might be that, like other non-commercial racks, the weight capacity is n't very high (800 pounds). So if you are super strong (like you are or plan on squatting in the 5 or 600's) it might not be a good long term option.

Buy it if you can't find a better deal on craigslist, though. And PM me if you have any more questions on that rack.

I noticed that too.... luckily i ordered mine from dumbbellbuddy a couple days before they raised it

About the BS Powerline, that is a good price on ebal, not a lot cheaper than anywhere else. It's $19 cheaper than this site, but not if you do the 10% coupon thing the other guy mentioned, then it would only be $260 from this site.

Does *anyone* actually stock those Powertec racks? I was under the impression that when Dumbbell Buddy shows it as in stock, it means it is in stock at Powertec, not at DB in Las Vegas.

Your correct, Dumbbell Buddy ships directly from Powertec. When DB runs out Powertec is out.

Just bought it from bb.com using the promo code! So got it for $359 plus I paid the extra $5 to have it ship via UPS. Also got a handheld mixer and a 12 month subscription to Maxim magazine at no extra charge. We'll see how fast I get it! I'll keep you posted!

According to powertec, the racks will be back in stock on the 2nd week of November, in which they will ship at that time

Out of curiosity, any reason for going w/ UPS rather than the free USPS shipping method?

Regardless of what it says on the website for delivery options, I find it hard to believe that the USPS would deliver a power rack.

That'd be one disgruntled Postal Worker for sure. It'd weigh down the ol' mailbag somethin' fierce!

Count me in too, just ordered the Powertec rack with the Lat attachment (hey, my wife wants to use it too) from bb.com. Coupon code gets it for $629. I'll post here when I get any info about shipping.

I don't really trust the rack to get here going through USPS. My mail service kind of sucks. Figured I've had stuff shipped with UPS and have always had good luck. Also, it was only $5.99 extra.

Just an FYI if you're waiting for the Powertec Power racks to be in stock.

Per Powertec, looks like their racks are due to be in stock mid to late November.

Good man, but you should have grabbed their lat attachment too, such a worthy extra. One of the best lat rack attachments out there.

What makes it so much better than everyone else's? The fact that it costs a lot more?

Well if you buy powertec rack, you'll never need to buy another power rack ever again.
The goal of bodybuilding is to look like a bodybuilder. Period. Not "I just wanna be toned" or "I wanna be strong screw abs." If you don't look like a bodybuilder and don't aspire to then GTFO. Stop worrying if you should cut or bulk, or whether a food is clean or dirty. Instead ask yourself "will this make me a better bodybuilder?"

No, I meant specifically the lat attachment. And I won't ever have to buy anyone else's anyway, and I have a cheap Powerline rack.

The Powertec lat attachment actually isnt very expensive at all. But what you do get are nice quality bearings in the nylon pulleys, and dual hardened slide tracks which are silky smooth set up already for olympic plates. You also get a nice usable adjustable knee hold down too, alot of rack/lats lack this feature. Alot of the cheapo lat/rack attachments also use a single square tube slider guide with cheesy plastic guides and generic bushing pulleys and are setup to use standard plates instead of olympic ones.

I probably would have, except I already own a Tuff Stuff lat machine (TLM-852) http://www.medi-sport.de/shop_new2/i..._TLM852_gr.jpg

It's a pretty good machine, feels just like the lat machines at the gym. Its really smooth. Never tried the Powertec one.
