I really enjoy PRIDE but...
How many people would be making fun of the UFC if they were having Butterbean and Sean O'Haire fight? People would be all over Dana White calling it a sideshow, low class, appealing to rednecks and fratboys, etc.
Also...
I enjoy PRIDE because of the great depth of fighters, not because of "production" or "fireworks" and stuff like that. If I cared that much about cool music and entrances I would watch WWE.

what surrons ufc? drunk rednecks and frat boys correct and fairweather fans just trying to see someone die in the octagon...and of those like a small 5 percent are mma fans and 15 percetn are just ufc fans.

Somebody confirm or correct me with this info. When the UFC offers long term contracts, they are based on whether or not the fighter keeps winning. When the fighter loses, the contract is void. Or is it that the UFC has the option to back out of it?

Prides's saturday event is awesome. Because they put so many stars in one night!
The UFC sucks because they dont do that!
The next UFC card should put all their titles on the line in same night:
UFC 70: Showdown in Blowdown!!!!
Tim Sylvia vs. Brendon Vera
Rashad Evans vs. Andrei Arlovski
Chuck Liddell vs. Quinton Jackson
Anderson Silva vs. Matt Hughes
Sean Sherk vs. BJ Penn
Georges St.Pierre vs. Forrest Griffin
Tito Ortiz vs. Mike Swick
Rich Franklin vs. Ronato Sobral

but once he became champion and they started making him a posterboy, he should have been allowed to renegotiate his contract
especially in a sport like mma where anything can happen, and once you lose you are not worth anything near as much as before
and yeah if you start losing they can drop you so its kind of like a NFL contract
