Would a Muay Thai fighter who took a one week crach course beat a Krav Maga fighter?Originally Posted by Chett
Krav Maga classes are not a one week crash course, many are just like any other art, the practices are done over time, a few times a week.
Cro Cop is trained in Kick Boxing, not Thai Boxing.

you think cro cop isnt trained in muay thai? he has a plethora of trainers that train him in muay thai, boxing, and all forms of grappling, idiot.
and once again krav maga isnt taught with intense sparring sessions, and is for people to feel confident in fighting situations. muay thai is a time tested fighting style.
and yes, i think a krav maga fighter with a one week crash course would get destroyed by a muay thai fighter, just the fact that muay thai fighters SPAR is enough to say that they would win. krav maga fighters would absolutely not know how to implement those techniques against an unwilling, trained opponent.

Krav Maga isn't taught in intense sessions? They have strobe lights and loud ass msuic playing during most sessions ontop of them performing the moves. And they do hit heavy bags, etc... with strikes.

oh they have strobe lights? what is a krav maga session, a ****ing slipknot concert? great way to be distracted while your training.. and once again, they dont spar.. hitting a heavy bag is NOT sparring.
and i said that if a muay thai fighter was trained for one week, and if a krav maga fighter was trained for one week, the muay thai fighter would easily win. this is a stupid argument, your comparing a style which isnt even taught with sparring, and implementing those techniques with live training, to one that does. krav maga is a quick, catch-all type style, for people that dont want to put the time and dedication in to a true fighting art.Last edited by Chett; 10-01-2006 at 06:36 PM.

My brother takes TKD from one of the best instructors in the country in the Tae-Z Park school. Oldschool TKD, one of the pure forms from Korea. Tae Z was one of the military teachers and champions of Korea.
My brothers instructor is very good, black dude, guy could bench 400 raw at 175 lbs in highschool. Wupped everyone in tournies.
My brother is a very good fighter, and he just does TKD. TKD is a very athletic martial art, so if your going to be great at it, you better have some very strong genetic benefits, be it speed, flexilibility, strength, or size."The machine isn't that strong, much less so than a muscular man. Even women should be able to beat it," said Atlus spokeswoman Ayano Sakiyama, calling the recall of the arm spirit arcade machine "a precaution."

once again, please take a good long look at these videos delta9. it is nonsense, do you reall think that tapping somebody on the shoulder is going to make somebody immediately keel over? there is no possible way, no stupid "nervous system interruptions" or anything, it is just crap. i guarantee that this stuff would not work in a real life fight, and if you think it does, you have been watching to many movies.

as you can see in the videos, that guy is just complying with all of his "techniques" and doing all the movement for him. when he taps him on the shoulder, he turns around on his own accord, not due to a nervous system disfunction or whatever they would lead you to believe.
they are practicing stupid taps on cooperative opponents, it is not live training.
i think you just cant accept that that stuff is bull****.. seriously, think of how ridiculous it is. look at how stupid it is, i really dont understand why you seem to think its so great..

the tape might look **** but stopping ones heart is possible with just one strike watch ripleys man the episode where in they feature the guy who has the touch of death they have a heart monitor to find out if his students were faking it. well all i can say is thier heart really stopped unless it was a really good show of acting but i doubt it since ripleys is not bogus

you actually believed that ****? man.. take a look at this video, it was an investigation on his bold claims.. and its no surprise that it was pretty much debunked.

fighting styles that can "kill somebody with a single blow" or "stop someones heart" or whatever are all just nonsense, and regarded as a joke, and are the butt end of many jokes in the fighting community.
