    Back injury

    Hey guys;

    Pretty embarrasing for me. I consider myself an expert in the sport, but trying to build up my back without using a belt on some deadlifts seems to have left it a little sore. It actually aches a bit when I bend a little. Any suggestions on how to best let it heal?

    do not train squats and deadlifts for the next 2 weeks. you could do heavy leg presses instead. it happens to me once in a while. always use a belt as tight as possible to prevent injury. always keep your back straight when doing squats or deadlifts

    If your doing heavy weight you should be using a belt. Your health should always come first, ask anyone who has chronic back pain from lifting.

    Just don't use movements that really use your lower back back man. Also it will heal I can you that, sometimes my lower back hurts too, but it goes away, just part of training. I wouldn't do any squats, unless maybe front squats if it doesn't hurt your back, you could probably still bench press, but ya no back exercises, or most leg exercises as well, good luck man, should be good after about 4-5 days
