All i know of is
Steve Michalik- Steve Michalik beat Arnie on stage and won the 1975 Mr Universe
Sergio Olivia-Sergio Oliva is the only man to defeat Arnold Schwarzenegger for the Mr. Olympia Title
thats all i know of..... in 1963 Steirer Hof Competition he placed second and I dont know who beat him ?

Frank zane beat arnold in the 1968 mr universe.Arnold lost because he believed in coming in bulk while frank zane was cut and defined even though he was smaller than arnold.

Michalik is a wack job and i believe that information is incorrect. I think you watched the TLC Docu "The Man Whose Arms Exploded" and i think alot of the information in it was incorrect.Originally Posted by Pugnacious

Arnold wasn't even in that contest because he was doing the 1975 IFBB Mr. Olympia while filming Pumping Iron. If he had decided to do that contest Michalik wouldn't have even won his class. Michalik needs to get back into the mental institution and get a grip on reality.
Three people have beaten Arnold. Sergio, Frank Zane, and Chet Yorton. When Arnold hit his peak he was unbeatable.

Nobody was beating arnold in 1975, definatly not steve michalik. Even though he was smaller than 74' he still dominated.

I remember Arnold talking crap....im pretty sure he was referring to Bill Pearl.....he was saying along the lines of "these guys running around saying they are champions....they always avoid other champs....let them come to the IFBB and beat me and Sergio....then they can say they are the best"

Bill Pearl and Arnold never competed against each other.
Bill won the Pro Universe the same year that Arnold won his first Amature Universe.
There is a picture that shows the two of them standing together. I'm pretty sure that was the only time they were on the same stage.
It is a bit strange...in Education of a Bodybuilder, Arnold says that when he won his first Universe, he thought he was the best in the world until the next morning when people informed him that there were other Mr Universes, and a Mr olympia....
but if he stood with Bill the night before and Bill was the Pro Universe winner, you'd think Arnold would have put two and two together...

I think it might have even said that in the documentary, but that show was so full of **** you couldn't keep track of all the BS. Michalik never would have stood a chance in hell against the Oak. I also don't believe in calling yourself Mr. Whatever unless you won the overall contest. Franco isn't the 1975 Mr. Olympia because he won his class. Agreed. The first thing that hit me about Michalik was that he must have serious mental problems. Especially the part where he says to some athletes something like "You can either 100 reps of lunges or shoot steroids in your butt" as if 100 reps of lunges would build a ton of size and even furhter implying that merely shooting up with roids will get you huge even if you don't do anything. After Arnold lost to Zane he started training with Vince Gironda to get more definition and symmetry. Gironda apparently told him he looked like a fat f*ck.

Wow, old thread. The Michalik thing got my attention, though. He was a Mr. America who never really did anything notable as an IFBB pro and obviously had some mental health issues stemming from an abusive childhood.
And no, he never beat Arnold, not even in the same league as him.
