Ok, here goes..
1) Bruce Lee at 140 in his prime with the nutrition, training, fighting skills and knowledge during his day would most likely be defeated by most current MMA fighters.
2) Bruce Lee with a little more bulk say 155 or more in his prime with the nutrition, MMA training, and knowledge of today would have a good chance at being a top MMA fighter.
Basically with all things being equal: weight, training, knowledge, Bruce could be a top MMA fighter. Of course, this is all speculation, based upon what those who know him. He was known as being strong, fast, and always striving to improve himself.
But again, all this stuff is pointless and can be argued to death without having any real consensus. Whether or not he can be a top MMA fighter or not. He DID bring the Martial Arts to a more widespread audience and help make it as popular as it is today. You have to respect the man for that.

I have a great deal of respect for bruce, but fighters today are a different breed then they were at his time. A mediocre mma pro of today would probably beat the best fighter in the world of that time.Last edited by bjjwraslter7; 08-25-2006 at 05:43 AM.

He was born with the same type of muscle fibers like any other man.
Royce doing so well years ago had nothing to do with speed. Are you even suggesting that he was a striker? He fought mostly cans who had no idea what BJJ was.
"dont underestimate him because he was small his power came from his speed." -yeah just like every other LW or bantam weight fighter.
Stop making the man into a supernatural being.

Edit- 4 times faster than a snake. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/n...science_2.htmlLast edited by bjjwraslter7; 08-25-2006 at 07:56 AM.

Of COURSE he's way behind the times technique-wise. He's been dead for like 30 years...

If you refer to a fighter who you've never met in real life as "my boy" as though their performance somehow reflects well on you for simply being a fan, you're a lame ass.

if it wasnt for Bruce, Inosanto would not be anywhere as good as he was....
