    I get my ALA from flax oil, it's incredibly cheap that way. Each 1g cap has about 500mg of ALA. The 1/2 tsp of flax oil I add to my AM oatmeal has even more. Am I missing out on anything?

    That would mean that flax seed oil is 50% ala?

    Didnt know that, but at 39 you should watch the flax, it lowers testosterone.

    From a brief search it sounds like the jury's still out on that. Seems like healthy fat in a diet raises T, but at least one study that added flax seeds to a lowfat diet was correlated to slightly lowered T, could have been to the low fat diet and that it was seeds, not oil, though (this from an article by John Berardi).
