I know that back in 2003 the abcde diet was really huge. Everybody wanted to know what it is. The guy who invented it made some huge claims and it also sounded pretty good what he said. But he claimed that if you go through 1 week of dieting and then enter the 2 weeks of bulking your body will not put on any fat within 14 days because according to him the body cannot switch so fast or something like that. I tried it back in 2003 and within a few weeks of abcde I gained a whole lotta fat. Others then suggested that 12 days are simply too long and they invented different variations for example cutting 3 days, bulking 5 days. This guy also suggested far too many calories. I ate way too many calories back then, not only 500 calories more but maybe 1000 calories more than usual. But I thought that all these extra calories will not be stored as fat because this guy said that the body won't start storing the calories as fast within 14 days which is obviously not correct.
What do you guys think about the abcde diet? Does it really turn the body into an anabolic state and release all these anabolic hormones? Some people claimed to have made good results with it but I think these people would also have made good results with other stuff because they had good genetics.
And if abcde is out nowadays then what's in today? What's the latest hype? I wanna know it.
