Are You Getting the Right Amount of “SMART FATS” in Your Diet?
Smart Blend is a Cutting Edge Blend of Omega-3, CLA & GLA Giving Your Body the Fatty Acid Complex it Needs.
What Will Smart Blend Do For Me?
- Enhances Body Fat Reduction
- Supports Cardiovascular & Immune Health
- Promotes Normal Cholesterol Metabolism
- Advanced Omega-3, CLA & GLA Fatty Acid Complex
Smart Blend…An Advanced Complex Enhancing Your Quality of Life
Smart Blend is a cutting edge, proprietary blend of “SMART FATS” that contain the optimal ratios of essential fatty acids, which often become depleted in many athletes, health enthusiasts, as well as the average person. Because your body does not manufacture essential fatty acids on its own, Smart Blend provides the “necessary for life” fatty acids that have been shown to be deficient in the regular “Standard American Diet (SAD)”.
Essential Fatty Acids That The Body Requires
One of the great deficiencies SAD is the lack of SMART FATS, more importantly, long-chain Omega-3 essential fatty acids (EFAs). To avoid the “bad fats” (saturated fats) that we fear and hear so much about, many people have turned to low fat diets. These diets decrease “total” fat intake, which not only decreases bad fats but good fats as well. The result is a short fall in good fats needed for optimal cellular function as well as contributing to an increase in metabolic disorders and chronic debilitating diseases.
As structural components of membranes, EFAs help form a barrier that keeps foreign molecules, viruses, yeasts fungi and bacteria outside of cells. It also maintains the cell’s proteins, enzymes, genetic material and organelles inside of the cells.
EFA’s key benefits include:
- Regulate the vital use of oxygen, electron transport, energy production and fat metabolism
- Balance and regulate hormone production and activity
- Vital for the production of joint lubrication matrix
- Play a role as precursors of prostaglandins (PGs), which are hormone-like substances that modulate blood pressure, promotes cardiovascular and immune health as well as mitigate inflammatory responses
- Promotes optimal cholesterol metabolism
Optimum Quality and Purity
In 1995, Greanpeace analyzed various fishing grounds, fish, and fish oils for heavy metals, pesticides and other contaminants. Many DHA based products do not meet these standards. The best DHA comes from the coast of Norway, which is due to the “clean” fertile fishing grounds of the North Atlantic. The coasts of third world countries, which use fertilizers and insecticides, are currently banned for use in the USA. In turn, these fish and their subsequent fish oils are contaminated with heavy metals and pesticide residues.
DHA (DocosaHexanoic Acid)
Recent research has shown that DHA is an essential nutrient for optimum brain function, concentration and focus. Investigators at Purdue University reported that subjects with noted behavioral/focus concerns showed significantly lower blood levels of DHA in comparison to subjects without such concerns. Furthermore, British study with adult dyslexics indicated a significant improvement in reading ability and retention when subjects were supplemented with DHA. In addition to its benefits on memory and focus, DHA has also been clinically reported to balance cholesterol levels, support normal blood flow, heart rate, gastrointestinal health as well as modulate vital prostaglandins to normalize inflammatory response.
CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid)
CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) is a naturally occurring nutrient found in milk, cheese, and beef. Research has indicated that CLA exerts a partitioning effect on protein and most importantly, fat metabolism. CLA is needed to maintain optimal function of the membranes of all cells. Healthy cell membranes allow fat, protein and carbohydrate to flow into active cells such as muscle, connective tissue and organ cells, instead of being stored as passive fat cells. These healthy cell membranes allow for maximum absorption and metabolism of fats, carbohydrates and proteins. CLA’s metabolic activity has been clinically shown to promote increases in lean muscle mass as well as reducing body fat. Uniquely enough, CLA also enhances immune health and antioxidant status, supports normal cholesterol levels and has proven to elicit anticancer properties.
GLA (Gamma-Linoleic Acid)
GLA (Gamma-Linoleic Acid) is a necessary step in the production of “good” prostaglandins. Good prostaglandins support cardiovascular, joint and immune health, elicits powerful antioxidant activity as well as promotes healthy blood glucose and blood pressure levels.
Regular supplementation with Smart Blend ensures a complete mixture of essential fatty acids such as omega-3, omega-6 (EPA, DHA, CLA and GLA).
Smart Blend provides vital fatty acids that
- Reduce Body Fat & Support Muscle Recovery
- Support Immune & Cardiovascular Health
- Optimize Cell Membrane Fluidity & Cellular Communications
- Promotes Healthy Blood Pressure and Cholesterol Levels

I've read several posts here or on other boards about CLA competing for absorbtion with the other EFAs with the recommendation that they be taken at separate times to avoid this, as well as the claim that EFA blends with CLA (such as this product) are not an optimal solution because of this fact. Could you please enlighten me on the validity of these claims as I know sometimes these things can be taken out of context or extrapolated from study summaries wrongly.
