Nicknames for 45 lb Plates
Here, they are 20 Kg Plates and they call 'em "Pies" for Pizza Pies
Also heard them called Cadillacs back in the states.

I just call them plates. I've heard wheels, too.
45 - plate
25 - quarter
10 - dime
5 - nickel
2.5 - sliver485/285/495 @ 200

Ditto. Sometimes I call the 45s - 45ers. I do not mind if anyone here starts calling their 45s - 45ers. It is not as if I have copywrites on it. So, please go about your business and do not worry about a lawsuit.45 - plate

I've always referred to them as "plates" or "wheels", but when I used to work out at a local gym rather than at home there was this one guy who used to call them "colts". I could never figure out WTF he was talking about (and half wondered if maybe he'd dropped one on his head at one point), so I asked him what he was referencing with that one day. He said "Colt 45's! Get it!?" and I said..."Like the gun?". "No," he replied. "Like the beer!" We didn't talk much after that.
