I've had pain in both shoulders/upper back for several months and can't do any pressing movements because of the pain they cause. i have tried rest, physical therapy, and anti-inflamatories but they havn't helped.
is animal flex safe for a 15 year old to take daily?
is it addictive to your body or can you stop whenever you want?
would any other supplement be better?
thanks

Walmart recently had Flexo Factor by Vital Basics on the clearance shelf for $5 each. I grabbed 8 bottles. I can honestly say this stuff has been doing the trick. I've taken many other joint supps and this one is among the tops.

For joint health, you obviously want a product with chondroitin and glucosamine. MSM is also popular, but I'm not sold on its utility. Optimum Nutrition Glucosamine + CSA contains 1.5g, and 1.2g respectively, for about 43 cents a serving. Good quality and a good value. (Compare, for example, to Twin Lab Joint Fuel. For the same quantity of ingrediants, you're paying almost $2.50 per serving. Guess they gotta pay for all that marketing.)
But my vote goes to Universal Aminal Flex. Contains 3g of glucosamine + CSA + CSB + MSM, plus additional good ingrediants (like flax oil). 52 cents per serving is a great value compared to other inferior products on the market.

For two years, BB.com has been awarding the best joint product, and for two straight years (2006, 2007), Animal Flex as won the "Joint Supplement of the Year". Thanks to everyone for their support of this great product, and for making Animal Flex the #1 selling joint product at BB.com.

Animal Flex really is the most complete joint supplement though. Compare it's formulas to others. It's got things in it that most don't.Free Agent

YEP, Animal Flex ROCKS, I have all kinds of pains in my shoulder (car accident), back problems (army life), and knee problems (skateboarding, snowboarding). Animal Flex is helping me out a bunch now in the gym. I have really noticed a change in my workout when it comes to my joints. They are not as sore anymore!!!

You have to look at the formulas. Flex is a much more complete joint formula and the dosages are different. Flex is a joint/ligament formula and only that. It's also has a lot of ingredients that other formulas lack like bromelain which is wonderful for injuries. Flex takes a multi angular approach to injury prevention/management.
