It looks like you're just starting out. Wait to hit a plateau in weight loss before you try it. Diet/Exercise is a much better, safer, longer lasting method.

Well it's good for 1-2.5lbs/month over a placebo in controlled studies. Anything more is just placebo effect "I'm taking diet drugs so I'll just have a salad."
History: Mar, 2001: 135lbs @ ~14% | Nov, 2004: 245lbs @ ~40% | Dec, 2006: 168lbs @ 5.5%ish | Nov, 2008: 177lbs @ 5.5%ish | Dec, 2016: 179lbs

Nobody here has commented on the fact that the eca stack may also have muscle-sparing abilities. It is very likely, though not entirely proven, that the eca stack can reduce the amount of, if not prevent, muscle loss commonly experienced with cutting/burning calories. This would be much more valuable than its metabolism increasing effects. Additionally, studies have shown that chronic use of ephedrine significantly increases fat burning beyond the 26th week of continuous use.

"It should be noted however that ephedrine does show some anabolic action even with such a short half-life.14 This relationship between anabolic activity and half-life of beta agonists would indicate that all beta-agonists have the potential for anabolic activity, whether or not this translates into noticeable gains in muscle size depends on how long the active form of the drug interacts with the beta receptor on muscle tissue. The truthfulness of this statement was demonstrated in a study by Choo27 which took the beta agonist Salbutamol which has not been shown to produce anabolic effects and compared it with Clenbuterol during continuous infusion in animals. Under these conditions the half-life of the substance is not a factor and the drug can bypass the liver, avoiding first pass degradation. During continuous infusion Salbutamol produced equal anabolic effects in muscle tissue as clenbuterol.
The assertion that beta-agonists such as clenbuterol and ephedrine have no anabolic effects in humans is premature. There is a large difference in the dosages normally given to animals (4 mg/kg) as compared to humans (up to 40 µg/day). Slow release Salbutamol has been shown to increase voluntary muscle strength in healthy men.30,31 Research showing preservation of lean tissue and significantly improved protein deposition in response to treatment with ephedrine during caloric restriction indicates that beta-agonists are exerting an anabolic effect in humans.14 More research is needed to determine the extent and most efficacious way to administer these compounds to elicit an anabolic effect in man."
The whole article is rather interesting. I've always had good results from ephedrine and do believe it helps retain muscle.

There will always be debates to whether Ephedrine is anabolic or catabolic.
Back to the main topic of this thread. Ephedrine IS one of the best fatburners out there. No dout.
1. it will supress your appetite (greatly favored when literally 'starving' ourselves to lose the fat)
2. it raises metabolism, hence more calories burned in any given activity
3. is well known as a brain/mood lifter. Being able to concentrate alot more whilst on.
4. stacked with caffiene, you will feel like an american superhero whilst in the gym. Trust me. Some reporting to even be alot more stronger on lifts.
Overall, i feel EC is the best way to go when cutting. I've used clen, but does'nt have as many benefits as E does. I've used T-Rex, YC but still favor ephedrine as the best.
Stacked with GH? ... now thats another level altogether.Last edited by KillahBee; 05-10-2006 at 10:55 AM.

I was trying to slim down from about 240lbs (about 75lbs overweight), lost 4 lbs so freaking slowly at the time, switch to an ECA stack (ripped fuel and diet fuel at the time by TwinLabs) and the first month lost 30lbs, next two another 56lbs combined.
Stuff works, I dieted and exercised as well.
I am on it again now (I am at about 215lbs now, should be closer to 190lbs, 175lbs really cut)...fat is coming off fast, my energy is up and I am really eating

I can't speak for what they are selling now, but 5 years ago I cut 50 lbs in 6 months! I took either Xenadrine and Ripped Fuel, but they are by no means what they once were, thanks FDA and all stupid people that ODed on it. Ephedrine is like anything else you abuse it, it will bite you back.
For the price and the dosage, you might want to look into NO and KGM. I have not used KGM yet, but people are talking about it in the gym. As far as NO, it is not the same rush as Ephedrine, but is a good pump.

I take EC (25/100 mg's) twice a day, and I like it a lot. The only other thing I've ever used was sesathin, which seemed to do nothing for me, so I don't have much comparison.
There is definitely an "upper" sort of effect when you take EC, and I notice that I perform better in the gym because I'm more hyped up. That alone makes it worth it, but the metabolic effects are great too.
