I freaking love this thread. I don't have anything impressive but i've put something together :3 The first photo is after some disordered eating, where my body had very little muscle compared to fat (I'm not saying I was fat, but my body was very much recovering and I was also still eating very little)... the second photo is when I did bikini a few years later, after starting with my coach but I clearly still don't have enough muscle, although I think I was actually eating more at this point despite being leaner! Second photos are a back comparison from when I first started lifting to now, where I'm prepping for my first powerlifting meet and starting to get a muscle base for the first time!

My Transformation
Hey
Im fairly new here, been reading for a while but new to posting.
I just wanted to add my journey to show my changes. I have suffered with mental health for 12 years and I was always slim until I started taking medication for my anxiety. They made me gain 6 stone in 2 years. I developed a binge eating disorder from this and im still trying to recover. So I started with a personal trainer a year ago and have been going to the gym 4 -5days a week.
During this last year ive had times where ive lacked motivation but im trying to keep going as it really helps my mind.
So I have attached my before and after photos on this post. I wish i was further on but i have just got to be pleased with my progress.
I really enjoy weight training and i never thought i would have. I still have a long way to go but ill get there, and as long as im happy thats all that matters :-)

In June 2015 I weighed 177.4kg / 391lbs.
I was sick through an unhealthy diet and inadequate exercise and I was desperately unhappy.
I had been researching weight loss surgery for over a year however I thought it would be cheating. I thought I had to get myself out of this situation through eating next to nothing and punishing myself with cardio. I talked to my GP (my Dr) and he told me to get a grip. He gave me the recommendation for one of the best Bariatric Surgeons in New Zealand who told me what he could do surgically but that he couldn't operate on my head and all the hard work would actually be up to me.
Six weeks after my surgery, I started back at the gym. I weighed 144kg / 317lbs.
I allowed my stomach to heal nice and slowly - nourishing my body with whole foods. Over the next year my meal sizes increased gradually. With the help of a nutritonist, I substituted pizza and beer for meatza and bunless burgers.
Today I am 1 week shy of 2 years post op. 100kg / 220lbs gone forever. New knowledge and appreciate for eating for health and working out because I can and because I want to - not because I have to!
Progress photos are on my blog and my Instagram - @allergictosugar

This thread doesn't look too active, but I've been stuck in those last 5 pounds for a few months now so wanted to remind myself of my progress. I was 160 pounds about 3 years ago before I started making slow changes to my diet. Have been exercising consistently now for 2 years. Recently got my BF checked and was at 17.9%. Struggling with the last three pounds, but I'm coming around to the idea I don't really need to get there, because I'd rather not feel starved! I've only gotten really passionate about health in the past 2 years.
Anyway, keep pushing ladies!ACE--certified PT.
